You could use tempest shield for 25% spell block and immunity to shock, brine king pantheon for immunity to freeze. And if you don't need xophs anymore, you could always opt in to using a 6 link chest and use the new amulet that gives you an extra link.

with aul's replacing xoph's for free anger aura, tempest shield is actually very useful!
might get glancing blows with it.

we dont need immunity to freeze since we are juggs, but the shock immunity is pretty big since its the only really scary ailment for our build.

tempest shield can also be linked to power charge on crit, it might crit enough to provide a reliable source of power charges so we can have more up time of EO on our molten strike.

as for the armor, idk..
we still need the amulet slot, and we already have a pseudo 7 and even 8 link with the helmet.
(4 sockets, conc effect, immolate, 30% more ele and +2-3% crit if you take it that far).

also, kaoms is just so much life to give up on, and it provide an easy way to get a good corruption on it.
combine that with the fact that most armors are pretty bad and you end up with like 1 or 2 options that arent as strong.

Blind seems to be dead for the build? That makes me sad, it was a really good line of defense...

this build isnt using blind.
but next patch we might use block, which is better.

reason for this is that block count as a hit, which we want to happen, you just dont take damage from the hit.

But i was using it on a jewel with chance to blind on hit. And it worked really well

yea we used to do that in the past.
i feel like the new version would be better as blind was only applied to attacks.

If we start using block, would it be worth trading out the rare shield for a high rolled Surrender? Could put a little bit of extra damage in there, along with even more survivability.

the surrender isnt a bad option, the recover hp on block is nice too.
but, we want to get spell block as its harder to come by on the tree.
the shield slot is a good source for that.

so i think a budget unique option would be Great Old One's Ward.
chance to block spells, flat phyz, AS and life.

then you could upgrade to a rare one with spell block mod, life and anything else.

but again, we will have to see the new tree in POB.

You're right that shield is awesome. I am hoping that in the shield mastery side of the tree, there is a good source of spell block in there, maybe even LGOB or so. I'm excited to get to see the tree, just not sure when that'll be haha.
