Good day, do you have a moment? I'd like to talk about our Lord and Savior Caustic Arrow.

Thanks so much for sharing this build!

Just something that irked me on the tree linked:
Assuming you want to limit yourself to 115 skill points; by dropping those 2 x 4% life near Thick Skin and grabbing Heart of the Oak instead you'd squeeze out more value out of your investment.
Smooth leveling atm, with a mirage archer at the start. For the sake of big numbers I popped Conc Effect and Emp lvl 4 instead of withering and decay and the dmg goes to 360k.

But that's just for looking at big numbers, and not taking into calculations QoL and whatnot. Just for those who were wondering how big can big get.

P.S: it's with the gear a gentleman provided on p2.

Loving this build so far, tweaked it for myself but no major changes at all.

What bandits did you end up choosing?
Its a great build so far but would need some help wich bandit to pick, i'm personally leaning for Oak's bonuses but i think the 2 skill points might be better to move the build along faster.
Wanna try "1) The Attack Route". Any advises?
EDIT: Why can't we delete posts on this forum?

the pathfinder tree is wrong there is another big node behind master herbalist on the corect one that gives more chaos damage and conversion
Master toxicist
10% phis damage converted to chaos
10% phis damage gained as chaos damage
10% more chaos damage with atack skils
you loose virulence 50% slower
poison you inflict any flask effect has 40 % chance to inflict 100% more damage

Hi guys, funny i came up on this post because i had exactly the same idea as this build, tho i really think adding a gmp/lmp might be worth the dot loss. the overlapping explosions keeps our virulence stacks high, like 28+ constant which means our crawler is a beast! Besides the virulence stacks due to the overlapping explosions we stack the poisons way faster which benefits alot from our ascendancy. Plus lets be honest LMP GMP gives for general gameplay (no boss hunting or whatsoever) so much quality of life =)

Looking forward to your opinions!
So maybe this gets significantly better past Level 70 but in my opinion this only works well on paper.

Because in the end you're firing a single(!) Caustic Arrow without any inc. AoE, Chain or anything clearspeed related. So you need to aim and hit every single group of mobs which is fun for about an hour.

Of course the Caustic Arrow will deal a lot of damage but so will most skills if you link them with straight damage support gems.

So you're kind of forced to sacrifice one support gem for some clear but I've found no way to make that happen without a steep drop in DPS. Of course you could throw curency at it but meh.

The problem is also that the HoA minion is really unreliable in terms of hits/damage.

I don't know. Maybe I just suck, maybe this ramps up to something truly special in late game but right now it doesn't really compare to other Bow Builds. Toxic Rain is dope though.

So, I ended up changing the build a bit. I couldn't get the explosion part to deal enough damage, so I dropped that and just went full on DoT (which... really didn't change the tree much).

(Do Import Tree not Import Build)

I dropped Aspect of the Eagle and Deadly Draw. I went to grab Skill Effect Duration (For Phase Run more than Caustic Arrow/Decay to be honest), and more Jewel Nodes. I already have 30k on a +2 to bow gems ->4<- Link, with Decay NOT included on the tooltip. I have more than enough damage, especially when I eventually get a 5-6 Link. Survivability is king at the moment. Might go for Bravery Cluster instead of 2 3-point jewel nodes, idk.

We need those Jewel nodes for each inch of life we can get! Currently at 6.2k at lvl 84.

Also, guys, PHASE RUN, grab it. It's so damn good for Delve, slap an incrased duration on it along with the Skill Effect Duration and you basically have a perma Quicksilver that stacks with real Quicksilvers.

Also, Panicked and Seething flasks for when you venture into the Delve Darkness.

Nature's Reprisal Keystone gives us 50% increased AoE, and we pierce 3 times, each pierce makes more Caustic Ground.
