Good day, do you have a moment? I'd like to talk about our Lord and Savior Caustic Arrow.
How would one level as this build? Ive never played a Bow build before, hell might not even have played ranger period seriously. Whats the best way to level as this?

I'd appreciate some leveling advice on this one as well. I'd assume we can save the life wheel for later, but which side of the tree should we focus on early?
| |
so im assuming gmp cant stack multiple dots?

" Multiple instances of the same DoT don't stack unless it states it does like Poison or the Bleed passive. |
|
" I'm not op but this is my take on it. Do note that I'm not the most experienced player that is but I'm quite confident on my ability to give you an advice: -Grab close damage nodes. This means that you should go early for Aspect of the Eagle. It gives a lot of damage + life + move speed + you also have to go through other 2 very nice nodes (Primal Spirit, not much for the mana early on but for the STR + INT; and Ballistic Mastery, for extra damage and some nice QOL with the proj speed). -Go to the bottom of the tree, towards Iron Reflexes. Grab both Herbalism and Thick Skin on the way, but you can ignore the minor life nodes. Depending on how you are doing with the Crawler, pick Toxic Strikes. You should grab Dirty Techniques and go for Golem's Blood. You can ignore the minor life node and the jewel socket (unless you have a pretty good jewel by now). -You can grab Iron Reflexes at this point (and Point Blank too). It depends on your situation though: for example, if phys damage mobs are stunning you too often and you are taking a lot of damage from them (which will probably happen at act 5), then its a good idea. But if you're running an Iron Skin Basalt or Granite flask, it might not be needed. Don't go for the leech yet, just use a mana flask and don't bother much with supporting your Crawler yet. -Go for Avatar of the Hunt and Master Fletcher. If your items are crap and your life is too low, go for Scion life pizza. Pick Profane Chemistry on the way (and Arcane Chemistry if mana is REALLY bad, but it shouldn't be). -If mana is not great, Druidic Rite will save you. Grab it, only 2 points. -Now you wanna go right. Ignore the major bow wheel and go up. Pick piercing shots, as it is a big mechanical change and it is important for the build (mostly if you're using Drillneck; if not, you can ignore it fo now). Grab Fatal Toxins. This will give you the dream Crwaler uptime (also grab Toxic Strikes if you haven't yet). Now go for the rightside bow wheel. -The Duelist leech node should be nice at this point. Support your Crawler and get the node. You might be able to drop the mana flask already. -Fulfill the rest of the tree as you feel needed: grab jewel sockets if you have good jewels; grab life if you feel squishy and need more life; grab damage if you feel tanky enough but seems like you're hitting enemies with a Wisdom Scroll. Hope this was helpful. OP might have though a different path, and I honestly think that he should know best. Just trying to help. |

While levelling (lvl 15ish) im finding Toxic Rain faster and less mana consuming.
Guess the lack of support (except Void Manipulation) is not making CA shine .. | |
point blank with CA?does it affect the DoT?im not sure its a good idea to get point blank with this kind of build and with the delve mine later you will probably want to attack from far and kite.
iron reflexe over, acrobtaic and phase acrobatic?on ranger i usualy always go acrobatic way. i want to build mostly on the CA DoT |

" it doesnt effect dot but my thinking was the explosion counts as the start of the shot for point blank like TS?. some one will soon tell me if im wrong. #StandardLivesMatter

" if you want point blank only for the explosion (if it work and i doubpt it) i dont think it will worth it.... |
