It would seem Righteous Army and Spiritual Aid would give less damage, but more tankiness thanks to an extra 1% regen, and a small Attack Speed increase thanks to increased accuracy. Honestly it's not that clear for me eaither.

Dps with Righteous Army and Spiritual Aid is nearly identical (0-2% less depending on the target), but in exchange you are faster and you get 1% regen. Also you can use jewels corrupted with increased minion damage and they will work on you, always a decent bonus

I had a blast with a variation of the build this league which I played till level 97. Since I could not stand the melee playstyle ( especially with claws being limited to Molten Strike / Blade Flurry ) I turned the build into a bow build.

Used The Tempest since we scale Lightning damage, Hyrri's Demise which provides tons of damage due to stat scaling corrupted with Point Blank, Memory Vault for a big armour boost.

up to ~700k+ Shaper dps ( with flasks up, a Watcher's Eye damage mod and PoB not taking into account Scourge Arrow enchant probably more like 1 mil+ )

up to ~9k+ ES ( 10k+ with clarity Watcher's Eye mod ) plus immunities and plenty of damage reduction

( That pastebin isnt exactly accurate : I used a level 20 cast when damage taken setup with a level 20 stone golem and holy relic to have them up permanently even in delves. Also it has an unused ring slot to cap resists - it is / was the only rare I had to wear )

I did almost all content in game including Uber Elder ( not deathless, but was my first time ) with a nice GG jewel drop. I even considered farming Uber Elder but ultimatly enjoyed farming T16 Underground Sea more ( which would not have been the case with the melee version ). At the end of the league I was able to afford a Headhunter since looting / farming Delve depth 300 was a breeze. Didn't go deeper because 300 felt just about right, fast and safe.

The melee version is stronger - but being such a tanky bow character is rather enjoyable.

I tried it earlier, but the low movement speed is just hell.
Rather play Lightning Strike for map-clearing.
Can't pass on shield charge with such a slow-moving character.
One interesting thing in the Dev Manifesto is the mention of adding more flat ES to the tree in Betrayal. Also, the fake patch notes seem to reveal a reduction of additional projectiles for MS from lab enchants. Sounds like the max Uber will give is 2. Probably not a huge deal.

Yeah it's really interesting, gotta wait for patch notes tho ;>
Manifesto has some positive news about ES at least, hoping all the new skills will make this build cheaper :p

Barring no further nerfs to molten strike I think the nerf may favor us in regards to helm enchants not being so costly. I played blade flurry throughout delve. I never saved enough to get a decent helm with +3 proj.

That's also true, 1 projectile is not going to be a big deal for us
