Holy shit, SO's suck ass on bosses. Just died three times to The Enslaver because i had to run circles around the arena, while they were following me all that time and refused to do damage to him. Getting close to him means getting instagibbed, so yeah.
He has died, but i don't want to experience shit like this ever again. Any reliable alternatives to them?

Try Feeding Frenzy instead of your weakest Support Gem
Having some fun experimenting I've seen that the base tight spread is
3 projectiles base
Dying sun only = 2x3 =6 projectiles
Volley gives you 8 projectiles in total considering it adds 4 and you have 3 base im not 100% sure how this works entirely but I assume by the wording that
2 additional projectiles = 2 x 3 = 6
then fires 2 projectiles from the side = 2 more flat
which results in final 8.
GMP gives you 12 projectiles , which would be 4 x 3.
GMP with dying sun gives you 18, 2x3 additional to GMP
Volley with dying sun is 14 projectiles
With 18 projectiles from GMP and dying sun it makes clearing maps fantastic for the most part but mostly open ones, and the shotgun is really hard to line up since it fires in at least a 180 degree arc , sometimes a bit more.
Volley is much easier to shotgun with at a safer distance, gmp potentially has more dps if you want to sit on top of the boss directly but I prefer easier lineups with volley
DPS theory
I was looking at pob and awkened vicious projectile almost doubles the damage of each projectile
My links are
Effective dps of each projectile using vicious is 2.7M but i have no volley or gmp in this. Just dying sun
so with dying sun up
6 x 2.7 * 5(spectres) = 81m potential dps (assuming each dagger is full damage which it seems to be but i will need to test more)
Without vicious but instead volley and dying sun up
14*1.7*5(spectres) = 119m potential dps assuming you can actually hit everything with that kind of a spread. Noting that when you get to a very high projectile count it gets increasingly difficult to aim that spread but thus far this has been the best one for me
sirus can go down in less than 2 seconds with you throw the zomibies and skeletons into the mix as well, now that i have a new pc I'll be recording a better quality video
Is done with vicious projectiles which was underwhelming imo for the build and I was using skeleton archers which seem to be able to shogun with my
I think though they are purely overkill as it doesn't really speed up the time that much considering you kill him after he heals up to 75% in about 4 seconds, as little as 2 seconds with volley.
Overall I love the belt and will be testing more things but thanks for the base to work off kay! It's been fantastic

Wait.. Dying sun works on minions?
it sure does if you use umbilicus like I do!
my gear for impale is
I switch out the left ring for my hungry loop on bosses since they 1 shot me anyhow and the skeletons add another few million dps which isn't great but its still something

If you have lower damage it can be a huge pain but run predator and you should be fine
