Having some fun experimenting I've seen that the base tight spread is
3 projectiles base
Dying sun only = 2x3 =6 projectiles
Volley gives you 8 projectiles in total considering it adds 4 and you have 3 base im not 100% sure how this works entirely but I assume by the wording that
2 additional projectiles = 2 x 3 = 6
then fires 2 projectiles from the side = 2 more flat
which results in final 8.
GMP gives you 12 projectiles , which would be 4 x 3.
GMP with dying sun gives you 18, 2x3 additional to GMP
Volley with dying sun is 14 projectiles
With 18 projectiles from GMP and dying sun it makes clearing maps fantastic for the most part but mostly open ones, and the shotgun is really hard to line up since it fires in at least a 180 degree arc , sometimes a bit more.
Volley is much easier to shotgun with at a safer distance, gmp potentially has more dps if you want to sit on top of the boss directly but I prefer easier lineups with volley
DPS theory
I was looking at pob and awkened vicious projectile almost doubles the damage of each projectile
My links are
Effective dps of each projectile using vicious is 2.7M but i have no volley or gmp in this. Just dying sun
so with dying sun up
6 x 2.7 * 5(spectres) = 81m potential dps (assuming each dagger is full damage which it seems to be but i will need to test more)
Without vicious but instead volley and dying sun up
14*1.7*5(spectres) = 119m potential dps assuming you can actually hit everything with that kind of a spread. Noting that when you get to a very high projectile count it gets increasingly difficult to aim that spread but thus far this has been the best one for me
sirus can go down in less than 2 seconds with you throw the zomibies and skeletons into the mix as well, now that i have a new pc I'll be recording a better quality video
Is done with vicious projectiles which was underwhelming imo for the build and I was using skeleton archers which seem to be able to shogun with my
I think though they are purely overkill as it doesn't really speed up the time that much considering you kill him after he heals up to 75% in about 4 seconds, as little as 2 seconds with volley.
Overall I love the belt and will be testing more things but thanks for the base to work off kay! It's been fantastic
Wait.. Dying sun works on minions?
it sure does if you use umbilicus like I do!
my gear for impale is
I switch out the left ring for my hungry loop on bosses since they 1 shot me anyhow and the skeletons add another few million dps which isn't great but its still something
Cool, never seen that belt before. Nice build btw, always like unique original builds. I created my own spectre build this league too. Playing elementalist though.
I'm using the syndicate operatives and am kinda confused. Prior to making sure i'm at lvl 25 raise spectre they seemed fine with their ranged attacks, obviously melee'ing when they got too close, but convocating them away made them stand at a distance and attack from there.
Now for some reason it seems like some of them specifically charge into melee range every time some enemy is around.. I'm not sure why or if this just seems like it.. But are there maybe other minions from the research syndicate hideout that look exactly like operatives but are in fact not?
Is there some way to actually check what minions I have raised? They all surely look like operatives... any help would be appreciated!
check ur desecrate corpses... will show which spectre u did!
to easy check, remove offering, remove helm (if Diadem) and put the spectre in shortcut bar to can press A for see corpse names.
Oh my god dude, thank you so much! That is so smart!
Apparently I have 2 operatives and 3 assassins which look, as spectre, exactly the same, but as corpse have differently colored capes. God damn!
Thanks a lot!! Firs summoner, did not know that.
Question on the side, If I have one operative at least, doesn't that mean I can simply use desecrate to get back to 5 easily using the desecrate corpses? Or is something here an issue?
y, just need 1 spectre in desecrate corpses for easy way to do all correct spectres
that looks cool! What's the point of the headhunters? Just survability for yourself?
The belt gives everything basically.
You get a shitton of Auras that boost your dps, a crapton of movement speed and survivability. When using with Legion Scarabs you can basically clear a map during the 30 legion buffs you get. Cuts down clear speed by like 50%.
Also a great statstick and gives high life which is nice. Allows me to use lvl 20 Phase Run and Dash with no Dexterity on Rings/Amulet.
Sucks for end game bossing since you get no stacks but I onetap Sirus and literally delete A8 in 0.3 sec during the last phase so doesn't really matter.

that's awesome! what is your postbin? I'd love to see the dps calculation on those as I haven't done cold in a while now
I'm running the pure phys so version of this build and just lost my 400c animated gaurdian. I don't have that much to invest a second time and I'd prefer not to run ag at all. Are there any good alternatives to ag in this build? Something that could be supported by awakened melee phys? I already have a carrion golem.
