[3.9] Pure Phys Skeletons & Friends Necromancer — Beginner/SSF/Budget Build
Just had my first go at Sirus, unfortunately lost, but got him to 10% on my very first try. I died to beams and twice to storms (yikes), but next time for sure I will do it.

Heya,
Check the below link out. It's a fork on Path of Building by LocalIdentity, and it shows some information that the original one does not. https://github.com/LocalIdentity/PathOfBuilding/wiki/Installing-this-Fork When you're done, you'll see Impale's contribution show up too. From it, you can see that the Impale DPS (526k) makes up 40% of the total DPS (1,301k), which is pretty crazy. That's what's driving me to understand it better, so I don't squander such a huge portion of deeps. Last edited by limevan on Jan 7, 2020, 3:54:28 AM

" NO! 1) skitterbots 2) dreadbanner Unset rings are BIS for Necro (don't need shitty ess worm), get elder if you can afford (with life/%life, makeup rez) Just picked up a (kinda) sweet dually curse chest, lost some HP (because I didn't want to pay 15ex), but with temp chains/enfeeble on cwdt it SEEMS quite good so far, I can pretty much AFK most encounters. With the bonus, Spirit offering still gives another 2k+ ES almost all the time, so yeah :) Last edited by d3viant6 on Jan 7, 2020, 6:25:34 AM

20/20 pride is pretty huge and cover full screen

" Thanks! I was trying to hug all bosses just to keep the aura up, but I guess that was unnecessary :D Anyway, the switch to impale was pretty fantastic. Farming the conquerors and Sirus became even faster, since they often skip stages and die before lengthy animations and before using most of their dangerous skills. Here's my latest run with this build: https://youtu.be/XA3mVy-d9hs
So I finally made the switch from the main build. Here is my input with it:
I swapped feeding frenzy from skele to impale. I opted for dropping faster casting and had a free link so did generosity and dread banner. I also opted for skitterbots instead of pride. Makes the mana more manageable, offers dps and minor survival with the chill. I also altered my tree pretty heavy to mimic a lot of the highest end necros on POE NINJA. Dropping some of the minion damage nodes, MOM, mana regen instead opting for much more life on tree, +all res, +max fire rez. I bought a +1/+1 wand, swapped to ahn's heritage shield. I went from roughly 5.6k hp to just breaking 8k. I still have some pretty big gear upgrades. My res are now 80/79/79/78 (chaos the shield WORKS for chaos res too). The amount of armor on the shield (looking for an armor base chest with everything I need currently still too) i'm at 41% phys dmg reduction. Will be around 60% with an armor base chest. I use taste of hate and rumi's with the shield now and holy crap...my survival. The downside that I couldn't figure out until today was I was spamming T15-16's and it was taking longer. After much thought I realized I dropped too much survival on my minions on tree. After tweaking and dropping 5 life nodes I was able to tweak and path to the notable we were anointing on our necks with the base build (I instead annoit ravenous horde as this saves me 1 point). NOW the build feels good again. It felt bad before because my minions just couldn't survive in T15-16s and would die before doing much dmg / ramping up impale. With this change i'm around 7.5k hp, far more dmg, far more tankiness. If someone really wanted to do the same, you could easily follow the same, drop skitter, still take MoM and maybe sacrifice 4-5 more life points for mana regen. I don't feel it's needed as if I fine tune my gear and get a few more levels, I can see pushing 9-10k hp like those on poe ninja are.
So is running aura like Dread Banner + Pride an option with MoM?
