[3.2] Juggernaut - Tectonic Slam - 1.1 mil DPS - Crit - Stormwall/Hegemony's Era **UPDATED** 3/4/18
" The issue with running Stormwall is that you are full elemental with no penetration, which means your DPS plunges vs ele resistant bosses such as Shaper/Guardians. Hegemony gives you the option of running either mostly Phys (in which case you need another skill besides Tectonic such as Sunder or Heavy Strike) or full fire with Avatar of Fire (and using Fire Penetration). Full phys has the benefit of having easier leech (eg. from Bloodlust) and being able to stun. For full fire, you can also choose to go Elemental Overload over stacking crit multi. There's also a chase unique in the Disintegrator, which has even higher DPS. The low crit could be counteracted by going Elemental Overload so most likely a Xoph Blood + Disintegrator build with multiple elder/shaper items will be the strongest Staff attack build, but insanely expensive. https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Disintegrator |

" First of all, I do not want to make this build guide another one of those that requires someone to have 20 exalts to be able to build it properly. There are way too many of those out there and a large ammout of players (including myself) do not usually end up making that kind of currency in a league. Second, I put in Xoph's and the shaper DPS went to about 651k DPS. I have seen people comment that doing this will take it to over a million DPS. Even taking Celestial Judgement it does not go much higher, and then we have to remove some skill points from other stuff (life or DPS). Please link a pastebin from PoB that shows exactly how you set this up. *EDIT* I forgot to add the Fire Penetration support gem. Although it lowers the DPS for clearing trash, it is still over 1m and it increases the DPS for standard bosses and for Shaper, even without Xoph's. What I would really love to do is have 3 completely different versions of the build:
1. A budget friendly version that can clear zones/maps easily at least up to around T6 to maybe T9. 2. A standard version that costs a bit more (oskarm, deaths door, etc.) that can clear all maps, easily farm uber lab, Atziri, etc. 3. An expensive version that has absolute best in slot and can run any map, shaper, maybe Uber Atziri, etc. I think this build can do it all in different forms, I just need to do do some major tweaking and might need some help. |

So is giving up power charges really worth it? Hegemony vs Stormwall I mean. Staff feels slow for clear speed but I am still messing around at low level (78)

To give my bit of feedback on this while I lvl up and explore this new skill and build myself...
Here are some of the shortcomings I saw and some +1s for your job, please don't be touchy about it. Much appreciate the guide as overall work, mostly for having a non-PoB version here (I prefer to read up a bit on guides and use them as templates for what I actually play, I don't just copy them). And fairly speaking I am getting sick of ppl showing 7 different pastebin links and that's about it. No, thanks :D First off - big plus for the GDoc with quick overview BTW, that's great idea! For the most part I am and will be a "guild-find" character so no shopping for me. Hence I find it unlikely to grab those unique staves and will much more likely stay with some rare phys staff. This is what you mentioned as the budget version I suppose and it would be great to have it in the guide. This beings me to another lackluster of the guide and that is a clear statement on damage conversion plus gems used. You might want to expand on that in a sense that with Stormwall you have full combined ele, hence you go for these and these gems (e.g. ele weapon dmg, no pen gen,...). OTOH with Hege you can stay partly physical in which case you use these and these gems (here I actually wonder what is it you would use because weapon ele feels weird). And as last option, usable with Hege or any other rare staff, you can pick either Avatar or phys to lightning to get full conversion. I am not really sure what is the best option here. That's all I can think of ATM, I will surely come abck once lvled up (this weekend perhaps) and share some overall info on how I felt lvling this with what I could muster along the way and how such approach works in low tier maps.
