Berserker will have better mobility because of rage ascendancy while Slayer has better survivability because of overleech.

If you hate dying, go for Slayer. If level 90+ is fine with you, go for Berserker.

For either ascendancy, I recommend the mapping gems setup. With Berserk gem, boss fights will be a joke to you.

Hello,

currently I am playing BV jugg mainly for clearing speed as I would like to slowly exp 100lvl but BV feels a little bit weird so I am looking for other builds and this one looks really good.

I would like to keep playing jugg for tankiness but I really cant decide between the main skill. Could you please advise me which skill would have best synergy with jugg ascendancy and Headhunter? Also if you could state some differences (pros and cons) between the skills within this build? Thank you so much for your answer:)

If your intention is to hit level 100 as a Jugg, I would recommend you go with Cyclone because it is inherently more tanky because of Infused Channeling + Fortify. :)

Hello again, currently waiting for some cheap helmet with Cyclone enchant :D just have two questions.
Firstly, I would like to use my Watchers with gain phys as fire dmg and fire leech anger mods. But when I tried to equip my watchers in PoB, it improved my leech very slightly (+10 I think). Is it wrong in PoB or anger leech + leech nodes are too much? I know there is some leech cap but really dont understand it. If the cap is the case, could you please advise me how to change the skill tree? I really dont wanna waste watcher's mod, so that's why I am asking.
Secondly, is there any particular good Lethal Pride or is it just randomness?

Thank you so much for the answer :)

The fire leech will extend the leech duration but it isn't that useful because Vitality Void beats it when it comes to leech. But of course, there is no harm having that little bit more leech.

You can always try unspecing the points from Vitality Void and see how it hold out for you and throw the spare points into Rampart.

Lethal Pride is pretty random for the build. One that gives you increased Fortify effect will be really good. Especially if they provide damage too.

Hello! Big thanks for this build. Few leagues ago I've started to play POE with it. But i didn't know all aspects of the game so i've stopped on t12 maps and 89 lvl without killing any end game bosses. All my Ngamahu's build cost mb like 1-2ex's)))
But now after killing all content after few leagues and different builds I decided to try this again in 3.9. So the question. If the balance of marauder not be changed, what ascendancy classes will be 1. most potential damage 2.better for league starting 3.better for lvling after 90+. 4.better for boss killing (because 3.9 will be boss league))
Thank You!

1. Berserker will have the highest damage output.

2. Chieftain will be easier to gear as league starter (do not require Xoph's Blood).

3. Jugg and Chieftain will be tankier than Berserker if you want to level. You will still want to avoid maps with crazy mods to keep it safe.

4. Berserker will be best boss killer, especially with Rage + Berserk

Chieftain Changes Patch 3.2
Spoiler

3.2 changes to Chieftain pretty much make it perfect fit for Ngamahu Flame so I decided to make a build for it utilizing Elemental Overload.

Resolute Technique skill trees are included in the guide for league starter.

Why is Chieftain good for Ngamahu?
Spoiler
Chieftain ascendancy = free Xoph's Blood.

Free Molten Burst that does impressive damage with huge AOE granting high clear speed. Requires 0 link. You just want to pop support gems into this weapon to buff Molten Burst.

Preferred stats:
"
- at least 11% increased attack speed
- 410 pDPS

Recommended Gears

"
Setup 1: Elder amulet + Watcher's Eye (Most Damage Output)

Detail Explanation

Above is a sample of how an elder amulet should roll like. Refer to Recommended Rares section for preferred rolls.

Watcher's Eye provides very good damage boost to the build when you run Anger aura.

Tombfist with Curse Enemies with Level 10 - 12 Elemental Weakness On Hit allows you to drop Flammability curse.

NOTE:
- Watcher's Eye is optional.

"
Setup 2: Impresence + Watcher's Eye

Detail Explanation
Impresence 0% mana reservation enabling you to use another aura (i.e. Anger).

Watcher's Eye provides very good damage boost to the build when you run Anger aura.

NOTE:
- Watcher's Eye is optional.

"

Provides very good damage boost to the build when you run Anger aura.

If you are not able to obtain the above stats, prioritize "Gain #% physical damage as extra fire damage while affected by Anger".

"

Loreweave is the perfect chest for Elemental Overload skill tree.

"

Provides attack speed, dexterity, critical strike chances and huge amount of life.

"

Provides attack speed, movement speed, dexterity and chaos resistance.

"

Up to 50% increased Cyclone damage, 25% increased attack speed, 10% increased movement speed. You can run with 5L. Main drawback is the lack of defense stats.

Bronn's Lithe provides great damage buff to the build. Thanks to @Lunartuna for testing it out.

"

Free 6L on a 5L chest.

"

Up to 50% increased AOE radius and 50% increased area damage, great clear speed, comes with all resist and decent life. You can run with 5L.

"

Belly's large life pool couple with Windscream's +1 curse (for Enfeeble), you can easily reach effective life pool of 8300. Great setup when you are focused on leveling.

Cons: You have to skip hexproof maps as curse do not work on the mobs.

"

Similar to Belly + Windscream, Cospri's Will with Enfeeble works great for leveling and your curses work in hexproof maps too.

Cons: Lower effective life pool as compared to Belly + Windscream combo

"

Run this ring to shatter ignited mobs. You have to drop Elemental Focus to gain ignite. Great for handling porcupine mobs.

"

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What are the pros/cons of Slayer vs Champion vs Scion vs Chieftain?
"
Slayer (requires Xoph's Blood or Avatar of Fire)
"
- Best Uber lab farmer
- 20% Culling Strike makes a long fight end so much faster
- Overleech makes Vaal Pact not necessary, and it greatly improve survivability if you do pick Vaal Pact

Champion (requires Xoph's Blood or Avatar of Fire)
"
- Ability to run Elemental Overload skill tree without investing into accuracy
- Permanent Fortify from Fortitude, allows running 5 x damage support gems for Cyclone
- Free intimidate and adrenaline damage buff (if you drop Fortitude and pick First to Strike, Last to Fall)

Scion (requires Xoph's Blood or Avatar of Fire)
"
- Benefit from Slayer's overleech and 10% culling strike
- Potentially higher damage than Slayer and do not require "On kill" to achieve that
- More jewel sockets and provide more flexibility in gearing choices

Chieftain (Do not require Xoph's Blood nor Avatar of Fire)
"
- Cheapest to gear
- Can be great Uber lab farmer (if you follow Uber lab skill tree and gem setup)
- Most flexible when it comes to gearing choices (no elemental penalty from Avatar of Fire)
- You achieve 100% fire conversion once you complete Cruel lab
- Highest potential damage on end game gears

Q: How much accuracy should I aim for?
"
At least 600 on gears / jewels. You want to aim for 90% chance to hit.

Q: Why do we pick Point Blank from the skill tree?
"
Molten Burst from Ngamahu are projectiles and Point Blank will provide 50% more damage to the balls.

As shown:

Q: I am confused as to what aura to run if I am using (or not) Impresence.
"
Hopefully this flowchart makes it clearer:

Q: What is the easiest way to get 3R 2B 1G on Bronn?
"
If your Bronn is 6L, Vorici's bench with 2R 1B combination is your best bet.

If your Bronn is NOT 6 linked, you can use jewelers method shown here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79wOQQxXsu0

Q: What priority of gems should I focus on to get it to 20% quality?
"
Physical damage gems, concentrated gems gets the priority but eventually you will want all gems to be 20/20.

Personally, when a gem hit level 20, I just vendor it with 1 gemcutter's prism for a level 1, 20% quality gem and level it all over again.

@Hitoseijuro wrote a very comprehensive reply on the specific gems to GCP in Slayer's version of the build.

Hey Hey! Are you going to update the build to Metamorph?
During Blight I played with Incinerate but now I want to go back to Ngamahu cyclone chieftain.

I had a really good time when I played it, and I'd like to know if even though it will be a more single target league, do you Ngamahu Cyclone Chieftain will still be good?

Thanks in advance, I love this build :D

Not gonna have much of an effect due to poing black being nerfed from 50% more to 30% more.
