Definitely is, I killed uber a few days ago with no problems :) This was the build following recommendations from this thread:

Of course it's still viable in 3.4. RF builds did not suffer any major nerf since many leagues. We where actualy buffed with the Vaal Righteous Fire rework that make it usable on LL/ES builds. So it was actualy buffed.

If you looks to beat Shaper, you does not need so much stuff to succed. I did it deathless with less than 300c budget stuff this league.
Uber Elder is absolutly doable with this build, even deathless. But this require an important amount of stuff.
Thanks for the info guys. Decided to go forward with the guardian based on your opinions of the guardian vs trickster versions. You guys confirmed my suspicions that this build would have better survivability and an easier time with bosses than my current trickster. Played from 77 to 82 tonight and just picked up Warrior's blood. Noticeable improvement already. I switched up the gems a bit to squeeze in a stone golem and enduring cry. I'll drop enduring cry once I get the rest of the tree and my gear worked out better, but for now it's a great temporary boost to es regen when needed.

Here's the gear I'm using for now. Had to buy the belt, but the rings I already had stashed. Will save up for the watcher's eye, before I try getting better rings or higher rolls on the other gear.

Looks good enough to start, make sure you get your hands on a lvl 21 purity of fire for your shield as soon as you can, a lvl 21 ice would be good too but less of a rush.

for 6L RF i would recommend switching your efficacy gem for an increased aoe gem for mapping and a concentrated effect gem for bosses. that should give you better clear speed for maps and better dmg for bosses. The more spell damage part of efficacy does nothing for RF.

if you can get your hands on a +2 aura pair of shaper's touch gloves make sure you grab those as well, it will give you more res/es/regen.

Its very worth it to run a bunch of uber labs to get the 2% regen enchant on your boots, i think the most it has ever taken me was around 20, usually rather less than that.

When you have currency to spare you will be able to buy/craft a new belt as well, once delve is over you should have a much easier time with that too.

still, looking like a good start, hope ya have fun with it m8.
Thanks for the info Kazeshi. I'm working on the boot enchant now. The PoF I just corrupted before posting. At least it stayed at 20 instead of dropping to 19. PoL I got lucky and hit on first attempt.I've got two more PoF I'm leveling to try next. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
Hey guys, how exactly Arcane Surge works for the 6L Vaal RF setup?

It gives RF the duration tag so swift affliction works with it.

Cool, thanks for the answer.
Hi Guys,

I just switched to this build since had most of the gear after playing as a summoner. Can someone help me guide if I am doing it correct and how I can improve it as atm my RF dmg is below 100k. I do T15 fairly easily but when I see others POB their RF dmg is above 300-500k at lvl 92. I think i can improve on my belt and jewels lacking 8% ES. I still have around maybe 10 ex if sell the fusing n chaos. Would appreciate how to spend wisely focusing on which stats and gear I need to improve.

For the belt, I have to roll a shaped crystal or also a base one is better than a heavy belt with ES regen?

2 possibility :
Crystal belt or heavy belt.
Crystal belt is excellent in terme of stats implicit but are realy rare and so, expensive.
Heavy belt have, imo a better potential for min max, and are realy common. So it's easy to find a ilvl 84+ for cheap.

Personnaly I highly recommand heavy belt.

While trying to craft a heavy one, what about this unique??
