Hi guggelhupf and all others :)

Yesterday I switched from Ancestral Warchief Facebreaker to this build.

Now I am thinking what I should change next?
What would give me the most dmg boost?

Is it the voidheart ring?

At the moment I don't feel that this build is so much better then the other one.
Items I must switch are:

right ring
glooves
boots

Any suggestions?

The advantage of this build over a Facebreaker + Abyssus build is that this build has much more survivability due to higher life and faster movement speed, and it isn't taking that 40% increased physical damage incurred by Abyssus.

To get the most out of this build you'll want to get shock gems so that you shock stuff that you aren't one-shotting. A Voidheart is nice and then maybe Ming's Heart for 20% extra damage or Doedre's for dual-curse.

I too have a triple-totem variant of the Facebreaker build; it has really nice DPS but it's pretty hard to keep alive against bosses that do high physical damage. For example, Core Malachi one-shots my Facebreaker build if I get hit by that stuff he throws.

Although I'm still leveling this build, I think it'll be much easier to kill Guardians/Core Malachai, etc. than with the Facebreaker build.

I haven't played this build long enough to determine how reliable shock is. If shock isn't consistent enough, dual curse Vulnerability and Conductivity might be better than Vulnerability, Temp Chains.
=================
Some thoughts on Starforge:

Huge physical DPS is excellent.

Physical damage can shock looks very nice.

Deal no elemental damage - this is the handicap. Hmmm.

5% crit chance - massively low.
-----
Honestly, Starforge looks like a Meh weapon.

It's "deal no elemental damage" and "your physical damage can shock" screams crit-shock.

The 5% crit chance screams, do not go crit with this weapon.
--------
OK, don't go crit.

But try to shock.
----------
So we use shock gems.

And we curse with Conductivity.
------------
Great, now we shock bosses.
--------------
Hello!

Vaal Lightning Trap will shock 100% of the time n matter what.

And Vessel of Vinktar will also shock 100% of the time.
---------------
So where are we at?

We have a weapon that cannot do any elemental damage - which means that Hatred and HoF are massively nerfed.

No problem you say - we'll go crit.

Well Starforge has a base crit chance of 5% - this means you're going Assassin if you want reliable crit.
-----------------
Overall, I think that this weapon sucks for and end-game content weapon.

It's not good for crit.

And the massive "no elemental damage" penalty is huge.
=======================
The only thing going for this weapon is that it seems to be easier to get than competing weapons such as Disfavoor.
----------------------
Suggested fix - either make this weapon less likely to drop and change the crit chance...

or, make this weapon have an innate shock chance, or

make this weapon able to deal elemental damage.
--------------------
With the existing atats, and 5% crit chance, it's my opinion that this weapon kindof sucks.

atm i play a "cleave" variant of this build and have not realy any problems. realy fast clearspeed and melt bosses in secs

how much life do u have with the cospri's ?

I'm not sure how much life I'll eventually end up with. I was really lucky to drop a Skysforth this league - got 39 exalts in Essence League - so I'm able to experiment quite a bit.

I purchased Kaom's - so high life is an option if necessary.

Right now, I'm going triple curse with this gear:

Unfortunately, there are zero shock/life/dex-int jewels available in Essence so I just bought an Atramentis to fix stats.

Triple curse seems to work out well - I'm running Vulnerablity, Temporal Chains and Conductivity - I seem to be shocking pretty nicely with the 13%+ added shock chance due to conductivity coupled with some shock jewels. If the added shock chance from conductivity turns out to be overkill, I'll swap out conductivity for enfeeble.

Poison is guaranteed due to Cospri's.

And I get some bleed chance with Voidheart (non-legacy of course). I'll drop divines on this guy to hit max bleed chance or maybe I'll just buy a max bleed chance one.

For me, all content with Ancestral Warchief is totally trivial (in softcore where you can afford to die) up until you hit Guardians.

So up until T16 it's just about clear speed - maybe I'll swap out conc for increased area once I take a few more damage nodes in the tree (currently level 76).

For the Guardians that are subject to poison, this configuration will likely be fine.

For poison immune Guardians, a gear swith to Ming's Heart and Kaom's Heart and Devoto's is what I'm thinking.

My tree so far.

I should state that this is totally experimental at this point and my tree/gear might fail big time against T16 content.

But...

The only problem I had with my triple-totem Facebreaker AW build was getting one shot by physical damage bosses and taking way too much sustained physical damage from others (Minotaaur was impossible for me until I dropped Abyssus).

With this build, DPS might be a little lower, but I have temporal chains, high movement speed and I'm not taking 40% increased physical damage - overall, I think my current gear selection will do just fine. But if not, I can gear-swap to handle particular bosses.

Another nice thing about Cospri's over Kaom's is that you have up to 6 more gem slots available.

I haven't bothered to 6-slot my Cospri's yet, but all those nice extra gem slots will enable me to run some nice quality of life stuff: portal, bone/flesh offering (for Necro-vigil and safety when yoloing lockboxes, movement skill of your choice - my preferred skill is Lightning Warp with Faster Casting and Less Duration, etc.).

Currently I have 4554 life but I will be taking more life nodes - will be over 5K when I'm done - and of course I can gear-swap to Kaom's when that's better.

Thanks guggelhupf for this build guide - I probably wouldn't have tried Starforge-AW without it.

My "kindof sucks" opinion of the weapon may be a bit premature - I've come up with a gear selection to leverage this weapon's stats as best as I can figure (see post above).

I think it'll be much better than tripple-totem AW. We'll see in a couple of days though once I hit 90+ and take on Guardians.

I'm set up for massive curse abuse now as well :-). So this might end up massively OP.

what gems i gotta use in a 4Link?

With such an expensive weapon, you really need to 6-link to get the most out if it and out of this build.

But I guess I'd prioritize the gems in this order:
AW-FA-Conc-MPD-MDoFL-LD

Swap out Conc with IAOE for better clear speed or with Innervate for a bit more damage due to more shocks at the cost of some AOE. I just use Conc for bosses.

I'm also going to keep watch on Less Duration. There was some inconclusive discussion on the forums a short time back where the fact that Less Duration did not decrease the duration of poison caused by things like Voidheart was mentioned; whether this mechanic is intended or is a bug was unclear. So there's a chance that Less Duration might one day change to shorten poison duration at which point it could be better to use a different gem for the 6th link.
