To make it more budget, but we still need voidheart since it has more dps with the new passive tree. Ironically, though damage over time was nerfed, the Ailments paired with melee dmg nodes on the tree are making it too hard to resist AND bleed might actually become much stronger. POB is showing Rogue's marauder at 550k DPS with void's bleed, silver flask, lion's roar and brutality off the top of my head. This means DPS is same as what it was or slightly higher for what I call "consistent dps." Elements and those unique pots gave me massive bursts of dps but only lasted seconds so I am of the mind to say dps is actually improved for 3.0 even if it's flattened out vs the wild dps spikes we had. Short boss fights would get melted but long fights the dps suffered pre-3.0. That should be over with now. We'll have to see!

Why do you guys have might and influence at the bottom gem slot when it needs 40 dexterity to work?

there's 40 dex there in radius

Use Cleave to level until you get the Dual Strike threshold gem. I am still using Cleave at 52, works great. Looking forward to striking though

Dual strike is tough at low level. Melee splash gem helps but increases mana consumption. Rogue is not the first to use Cleave for many levels past dual strike gem minimum level.

My advice is to use mana/life leech gear to use dual strike, because I hate cleave. Use melee splash gem and all the gems you can afford.


Wurm's molt belt- mana and life leech
Serpentscale gauntlets- mana and life leech plus APS
mana leech gem when you 5L
some have had mid level success with Warlord's mark to grind out mobs for quick levels without sacrificing the fun of dual strike for easier gems, such as cleave
Leech pots can help, I forget their minimum levels though

Then of course mana and life leeech on rings is helpful. This is how you can use a full or close to full dual strike setup before you can finally make your way to the center of the tree to reach those dex nodes to use Melee Splash Viridian jewel

Stupid question, but how do you kill packs with this build? Dual strike is single target only.
