Since it´s officially a bug with multiple self-flagellations i swapped those out besides one. I think its my responsibility to play legit and ethical when its known to be unintended.

Ethical uber atziri run without 5x self-flag jewels, just the gear in the previous post.


To train the uber atziri fight i have the following tip:

- Equip Bloodmagic gem lvl 1 + Herald of whatever
- use it
- remove support gems on righteous fire and searing bond
- run normal atziri

now you simulate a uber atziri fight ^^

Btw, don't worry about linking that chest, it works without links. effectively a 7 link for free.

Btw from the same reddit thread, this seems to be true. From the tooltip dmg change to the aoe change of unlinkced gems to rf totems.

no this is not true, also tested this.

It works with active gems included in a item or trigger skills (Icestorm, Fireburst via essencecraft), but not with support gems included like soul mantle or kitavas

no this is not true, also tested this.

It works with active gems included in a item or trigger skills (Icestorm, Fireburst via essencecraft), but not with support gems included like soul mantle or kitavas

Have You tested it with 5L + Minion and totem res in the Last slot? As this is the one gem that in Theory only needs to be linked to the Totem to work.

A full uber atziri run

Since our flagellation is going ethical soon, what about scorching ray as a 6th link idea to help with shaper?

You have a totem to spare in your setup, scorching ray benefits from all the support gems (minus area), and you get the 24% resist debuff for all 3 damage skills. You're way more familiar with the math on this, but my guess is it might even be competitive with minion elemental damage. The main downside I can think of is mana cost, which shouldn't be that big of a deal with blood magic.

I even dropped scorching ray out of my gemsetup now :D
With 2.6 i made a overhaul of the guide and in theory scorchin ray is nice for bosses, but it had next to zero use for me.

Before guardians there is no boss where it helps us.

I have killed all guardians and there is not one situation where we can use SR for longer than one tick and even that is more dangerous than it helps.

Shaper on the other side is the only one where it had A BIT of usage.
This is the case if he casts his beam and there is no ball flying around. Thats it.

In phase 3 you need all the mobility, literally zero time to cast SR since there is even more shit going on.

That casttime to start/stop channeling killed me once in the shaperkill video.

The damage should still be enough with Ethical totems, i will run him again and record it (probably just p3 because it takes forever to upload and the rest is boring).


Decoy totem replaced scorching ray for me, it was very helpful against the uber atziri trio, izaro and other mobile bosses.

Decoy tanks A LOT with all the totemlife on the tree/gem/jewels, capped resists etc.

I wanted to update the guide regarding this, but had no time so far (same with dualcurse)
