Vaal pact is not life leech it just makes your life leech applies instantly, so in a curse immune maps you need to switch out empower or cold to fire for the life leech gem

Depends on the map level and difficulty, i have done curse immune maps without life leech. u can switch cold to fire to Life leech [same for reflect maps].

I probably explained wrong but bottom line is - a lot of maps you can run without Life leech from curses because you just smash enemies quickly. for harder maps switch cold 2 fire gem with Life leech, and use mana potion for mana gain.

non-crit nova turned out to be a complete failure, I remember Aim_deep telling me how disappointing experience this one was. so I personally do not recommand it

What flasks do you use, I'm level 79 and struggling loads. How do you deal with reflect mobs?

pop both topaz and sapphire flasks and make sure the reflected mob is dual cursed.

for FULL reflect maps swap cold 2 fire for life leech gem.

I'm only in the fifties but so far I've been having a blast, best feeling I've had among all the chars I tried. I love the lightning warp madness everywhere, it makes the build a lot more secure and deadly. It's very often that in a tight spot I can play around the threat (boss or exile), do damage while I regen from pot'.

sure bro im glad you enjoy it :-) I have a lot of characters of all types, and ice nova is still one of the most fun build i've leveled and played with.

So with the new support gem that's been announced (link for those in the dark), the benefits for this build are immediately obvious. 100% curse uptime and mobs get insta-cursed when in range.

How would you go about fitting this into your setup? From my own theories, the obvious way would be to use the chest piece sockets for it, but the mana reservation would be an issue, and would still need to keep lightning warp in there somewhere for the mobility/getting into packs of mob

Eldritch Battery is an idea, but idk how that interacts with mana leech, not used it since it was changed. Possibly use the HP regen we don't use due to Vaal Pact and grab Zealot's Oath to regen ES, or does Vaal Pact completely remove the Life regen.

Would love to hear your thoughts on this.
