@Nasreth you probably missed a cruical part of this build ;)
WARP WARP WARP.

Example:
-Engaging big boss
-Warping on it, cursing it
-fight fight fight fight
-Warp again

Repeat.

-dont forget that Lightning warp is cursing TWICE - on start and at the end. so u can blink on the boss -attack - after few seconds blink a bit far from him and he'll be re-cursed from the initial warp.

I mean its just like every other character with curse, you re-curse it when its off (the curses lasts 4.70 on our build at the end), the difference is that your playstyle is relied on refreshing the curses.

Starting doing it, you'll get used to it.

@Shinare - I have a test on thursday so I'm quite busy studying, I'll make leveling tree phases at the weekend.
Thing is its not REALLY that important to have this.

You have to balance your survivability with dps.
General idea is quite the same as other builds-
-until level 20 focus mostly on dps.
-then waste some points on survivability (life etc).
Repeat.

Feeling squishy? get more hp. Barely/not dying but clearing packs too slow? invest more in dps.
It depends on ur items aswell, and thats why making 'phases' tree isn't that efficient.

Is there a hardcore alternative to this I seen the previous thread, and iv been following the HC version of that, is that skill tree still viable?

Yes its viable and working great.

I've now pretty much switched to this build in the 1 month. I planned on doing a fire trap/fire nova mine build but man was it tedious/boring/bad.

So since I had a heavy investment in fire damage I was doing a pyre three dragons ice nova, which was okay, but the lack of freeze made it incredibly squishy since I had no mitigation.

I'm glad I found this build, using lightning warp to apply curses was something I was missing. Now with warlord's mark and pledge of hands my mind over matter is functioning really well and the build is becoming acceptable.




Passive skill tree build

Now that I have the pledge I can work on upgrading my items to get a bigger mana pool, more mana regeneration and more life. Once I have about 2.3k mana (currently 1.9k) I can add in herald of ice.

I am curious why you recommend cold 2 fire in place of cold penetration. Sure cold to fire gives you a better tool tip, but penetration will beat it out every time (it is especially noticeable when you have lower damage and see a lot of resistant monsters).

As for your question, we tested it a few times and Cold 2 Fire had much better clear speed BY FAR from cold penetration.

Additionaly, Flame Surge benefits alot from Cold to Fire and become a beast.

(At first we thought about Glacial Cascade, but Flame Surge works better).

I see, I was thinking of freezing pulse. Swap conc effect for power charge on crit.

Im using ur build now and im at lvl86 now,,
I only have a 5L PoH,
Mayb clarity is what im lacking, always ran out of mana when i deal with single target bosses..
While switched to flame surge, warlords does help abit, but will still ran out once in a while..
