Hey all,

Very excited to play this build in Prophecy. I had a question about Serleth's +3 bow crafting method. Why do we craft Elreon's multi mod twice? It says to craft multi mod before exalting for +1, but then to bench scour all the crafted mods only to multi mod again before getting the resistances. Why not just leave it on there? Bench scour cannot roll attack mods and whatever else you put on there then add the resistances? What am I missing?

I'll let Serleth answer that, it is not a method I've ever used.

Also, what do people think about including an essence drain 3 or 4 link setup to add to single-target damage? I realize we have solid single target already, but since clouds don't stack and we are already scaling projectile/DOT/chaos damage would it make sense to throw that in there for tankier bosses? Just an idea I had, let me know how unnecessary it is :P

It is covered in the 'before ascending' spoiler in the Gems and Links section of the guide. As a 3 or 4 link set up it is really powerful, but once you have the second arrow/+2 bow it is not all that necessary. If you can find the links to continue using it to help out with boss damage, continue to do so! For the most part I find the wither totem, and the curse set up to be enough to down bosses quick enough for my tastes.

My method is specifically to get dual resistances crafted on, and the first multimod is the only way you can effectively lock out all the suffix slots (Multi -> No Attack, random suffix) to ensure that your first exalt doesn't land a suffix instead of the +1 all gems.

If you're not interested in doing a dual res craft, you can do it as you described.

Thanks for drawing my attention to that. I've edited Method Three to be explicitly clear now that it's only for dual-res crafting.

Hi Serleth

And finali what You choose for lvl: frostbolt, firestorm or ...?
I'm going with Frostbolt. It's pretty solid, but I'd probably go with Firestorm/Flame Totem/Searing Bond as my recommendation still.

How is Frostbolt working out? Are you using in conjunction with Vortex and Ice Nova?
I understand why we do the first multimod. But if we ARE going for dual resistances, why do we need to remove the multi mod before adding the resistances? What is stopping us from ONLY bench scouring the "cannot roll attack mods" and the random suffix and then replacing them with resistances? Please excuse my confusion :)

Been leveling with flame totem/firestorm, very excited! Thanks all!

Bench scour is an all or nothing craft. You cannot pick which master crafted affixes to remove.
Ahhhhhh thats what I was missing. Thanks for clearing it up!

I personally found it to be terrible, to be honest. The frostbolt projectiles are so slow that it it's very ineffective at dealing with fast bosses like Darresso. They get caught on terrain, don't do great damage alone, needs LMP for decent coverage... Using the vortexes well definitely takes some thought which can be fun, but compared to the mindless ease of firestorm + flame totem, it just seems worse.

Before cruel malachai I switched to firestorm and FT, and despite those gems being ~2 lvls below the frost counterparts, things were wayyy easier. It's possible I just didn't use the gems properly, but playing in HC it just wasn't cutting it. Maybe with a fully linked build it can do good damage, but as a leveling skill I think it's quite bad.

I feel like the DPS is horrible with frostbolts =/ This is the slowest I have ever leveled in well over a year.
