Enki's Arc Witch Memorial Page

So while metallic fossil spamming my ES helm base I got this outcome:

No ES mods and shitty life on it, but both -9% lightning res to nearby and +2 to minion gems, is this worth keeping over rerolling for ES mods now since it rolled two desirable damage mods? Or is +2 to minion gems not really a big deal?

Hey, thanks for this great build. I've been using it for the PS4 release (character not on this account). I'm level 87 now and farming t10 maps. I made a few changes to what the build does in an attempt to compensate for my playstyle on the console.

Using two mobility skills is a bit unwieldy for me on a console and I've been completely unable to find daggers with rolls I've found remotely acceptable, so I just have flame dash... for now. If I could find or afford good daggers maybe that would change overnight. I'm using a wand and an ES / cast speed / spell damage shield, and a quicksilver in my flask setup. I think I'm giving up mobility for toughness I sort of need this early in the build. I was sort of pushed in the direction of this plan by my addiction to storm brand/onslaught and the best item I have found being 38% move speed armor boots with triple res and high life.

-I'm using a 4-link utility Storm Brand with Onslaught, Innervate and Summon Phantasm on Kill or a damage support. Innervate has 99% uptime and is like +1 level to arc, so I really like it personally. The wiki claims Innervate affects spells, anyway. Summon Phantasm is kind of silly, but it makes meatshields. I think I like it over blind, but I'd quickly swap out Phantasm for another generic buff if there's something better I'm missing.

-I'm on a 6-link and sort of struggling with whether Unleash is worth it. It's really nice wiping out packs like I'm emperor palpatine, but a lot of the situations where I need the damage output the most badly are when casting a lot. If there were another reliable 40% more modifier, I'd consider taking it. Unfortunately that reduced crit, more damage gem is slightly interfering with keeping my crit buff up, but maybe I'll try that and take increased crit instead of phantasm on storm brand to try to compensate a little.

-My CWDT setup is a little different, I have CWDT-IC-Phaserun-Inc. Duration, but the main setup is probably better

-I'm not using Lightning Spire Trap. I haven't really given it a fair shake and I probably should. I'll start using it tonight since I have the four link for it.

-Part of what's making a dagger transition hard for me is that I have 98% crit uptime with a minimal amount of +crit chance due to very high cast speed and mixing in storm brand, and if I didn't, I'd just throw critical strikes on brand, so dagger implicit is kind of useless to me compared to spell damage, cast speed or energy shield. And I think I have enough mobility with onslaught up 80% of the time and 40% boots, although it could always be better. I may diverge from the build a little in the end and get the 200% increased damage wand.

Everything else is the same. It's not as broken as the cutting edge meta nonsense but it's fun, solid and I'm progressing through the content.

The build says to use a life flask, jade flask and sulphur flask + 2 uniques. In addition it says use a quartz flask when you do not have one of the unique flasks yet.

What should I use as a fifth flask when I do not have one of the unique flasks?
note: life, jade, sulphur and quartz makes 4 flasks total.
Maybe another life flask or quicksilver flask? Thnx for any advice.

p.s. love the build on ps4!

Before you get uniques, you can use basalt or granite flask.

Silver flask is okay as well, like the above post.

If you can trade, unique flasks like Atziri's Promise are dirt cheap, you should buy them ASAP. For Wise Oak you need some resist minmaxing on your gear before it can be really useful.

Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa... Guys... What happened here? I paused a few weeks into this league and now I come back and half of the passive tree has changed. No more life nodes, no more reduced mana reservation nodes... how's this even supposed to work? I'm scared, guys! Hold me :S

Halp?

Okay okay calm down man. All the life nodes that people usually get in the constitution notables may be gone, but actually they're replaced by life and energy shield nodes to the right of the witch tree, and going down to shadow for abit more life and attack/cast speed.

The reduced mana reservation node below zealot's oath isn't removed, and the one in scion cluster is replaced by a node a little right of Eldritch Battery and only need 1 point to get it from the path.

Don't be scared again okay :)

Hmmm... I see. Plus those nodes not only give life, but there's also a lot of ES in it. Makes sense...

Little bit of a bummer tho. I have an Unnatural Instict jewel in Standard and after seeing the old tree, I was actually looking forward to place that into the socket next to Harrier in the Scion tree :/

I can't remember anymore how the lvl 90-100 tree looked like in the older version, but we're losing 1-2 jewel sockets from this, no?

edit: Nevermind. Just saw that Enki picked 2 sockets in the new lvl 100 tree. Hm... kinda late and I'll prolly never reach it.

Yep, but damage output is still fine & gearing is not at all expensive. I only have about 3 ex worth of gear and can clear all content I care about (not attempted uber).
Hey Enki
First of all, thank you so much for the guide, it helped a new player like me to get into the game and enjoy it. Just the right amount of help without babysitting, gotta learn something yourself too.

Any idea on where to improve on my gear? The inpulsa is still a bit to expensive for me :(

ATM trash dies more than just fine, I'm having trouble with bosses and staying alive when I get to higher tier maps and on some bosses, 1 mistake and im gone. I know I'm not playing a tank, I just want to know where I need to start on working on my gear and so on, while I learn on mechanics, both boss and my own.

How do you focus? Why is there a focus mod in your daggers? All of your flasks can be improved for better versions of themselves. I would start with that.

Also, I am not sure that you know, but Lightning damage to attacks doesn't work with Arc. Both of your rings have this mod.
