GGGs reasoning on not making a SFL?

A hc mode was something GGG intended long before most of the folks in this thread even heard about PoE.

Now everyone can keep on bitching and whining about the current state of affairs. It wont get you anywhere. I swear some would even stubbornly complain that towers in chess can't go diagonally.

If you want to experience a cool singleplayer rpg-game this year. Well good luck cuz some interesting ones are on the horizon. You can SF all the way you want.

whats the point of even having a "hardcore" league? honestly its not even real hardcore... if u die you still keep all your items and the level... you probly dont even lose XP

I look forward to these and really sad that PoE didn't go this path. Hopefully they will change their mind when all players leave to play those games, in case they turn out to be good...

Between the lines of pointless trash I found two with something useful, namely the links. Thank you for giving me those, I'll take note. Always love checking out a new game, especially games of those genres.

No. GGG is purposely vague all the time. Because it gives them options to change things without carving anything in stone beforehand.
Now this is so worn out, but at the same level as your post - PA/FFA loot. That's an example of GGG making a global change despite claiming hardcore-cutthroat-loot-theft game. I'm never using this argument against GGG, but against your post it does very well.
Why did they do it? To make people happier, which in return makes the population bigger, which in turn makes more revenue, which in turn gives more development power. They thought it was a good compromise between gameplay quality and business, and they were right I'd say.
SFL is a proposition which would probably do far more good than bad, especially compared to PA/FFA loot.

I really don't understand comments like:

- "GGG doesn't think so, deal with it"

What the fuck is forums for, if not discussing things? "Deal with it"-comments is not discussing. Not debating. It is just BS. GGG have a feedback forum - they WANT feedback. The often thank us for feedback.

Desync is a problem, so people cry about it on the forums. Many players sees RMT and the balance between party play and solo self found as an equal problem, hance the crying on the forums.

what more can you say if u see something like this
"Personally i don't give even a flying fuck.It does not affect me or you.RMT,or some hack to spawn orbs would affect us.This doesn't.And if that's the most efficient way to farm uber atziri,i really hope more ppl wll do it.Then these uber items will horde the market,and i,and many others not as wealthy,will propably be able to afford them.So yeah....

This is not any different as i said from using legacy gear,or using multi perma curse snapshot,or even casting auras and then replacing reduced mana gem.There are tons of ppl doing these.I hope GGG fixes it,but since then,i have absolutely no reason to be upset about it.

Also that guy IS obviously good at game.You have to be to aquire these items.I d never get them.If you argue about playing the economy,fliping etc.then AGAIN IT"S THE GAME DESIGN.If you have to do this to succed,i do not see in what way it is player's fault,rather than developer's.If you don't like it,maybe it is you who should be playing another game.

I am not in any way saying that all the above are the "right thing"(what is anyway),but i accept them as part of the game,and if i am to blame someone,i think the actual men to blame are the developers.My 2 cents."
