GGGs reasoning on not making a SFL?

I like the new change GGG will be making by increasing the drop rates of uniques. Its a baby step in the right direction and gives me a little more confidence. I still think a SFL would be nice for all the reasons previously mentioned but at least GGG appears to be listening to feedback and making the necessary adjustments.

The re-balancing of unique drops has nothing to do with the SFL complainers though and there is no reason to EVER have a SFL.

From what I read they're not increasing the drop rates of uniques. They're increasing the rates of higher rarity tiered uniques. Two different things.

So how exactly do you know why GGG is making this change considering they didn't explain it at all? I think its logical to assume it partly has to do with the mountain of feedback they have been getting for a long time in regards to the drop rate of decent items. Those complaints directly effect the appeal of a SFL.

Don't really see a difference there. Its still an increase to the drop rate of harder to find uniques.

But it does give me the impression that a part of the SFL-crowd just wanted increased droprates and are demanding a SFL just for that.

Not just uniques. Quest rewards for example are screwed up too. In a SFL they should give reduced mana to all classes. And there are many more arguments for SFL.

Also, that they are increasing uniques means that the complaints were justified.
