It was stated, however, that "Unique items that were exclusive to Domination and Nemesis can no longer drop." and Berek's rings were kind of exclusive for Dom/Nem. I read as many of the comments as I could before I was overwhelmed by the angst. Why do people even bother making their rage quit posts about how they're leaving the game for ever?
The reason the game has succeeded up to this point is because ggg, unlike nearly every other company out there, doesn't listen to the whiny bitches and incrementally ruin their game over time because everyone wants their playstyle buffed. The game is about challenge and catering to a more hardcore market. If that doesn't work for you, you should go play another game. If you're so invested in this game that your vision goes black when you read patch notes, you could probably stand to take a break anyway. If you truly like challenge, you should be glad ggg does 3 nerfs for every one buff. Anything else and the game would eventually become too easy, causing everyone to leave (see every MMO ever). Lastly, if you really think spell totems didn't need a nerf because "no one uses them anyway", consider 2 things: 1. GGG probably has more info on this than you do. Although I know it's seems super reliable that you checked with your 2 friends and neither of them had a totem character either, that's not actually the way that GGG can/should make decisions. Their decisions are (presumably) based on quantitative data, not anecdotal evidence with a sample size of three. 2. Speaking of anecdotal evidence, the sheer fact that 1 in every 3 posts in this 90 page topic are people saying that they wished totems hadn't been nerfed suggests that a significant portion of the population was running totems. Tldr: stay strong ggg, and don't give into the vocal minority and their constant flow of tears about how the game is too hard and they want their play style to be buffed. " I think it was the base, Two-stone Ring, that couldn't drop in SC and HC and thus the unique too. Now that Two-stone Rings can drop in SC and HC so can the unique variants of them. That's my understanding anyway. |
