Answer to your last question: a lot of people thought like your friend, but not nearly as many as you think. I would conjecture that like me, the vast majority of players are fine with the changes and excited by them. Unlike me, most of them feel no need to post about it because they don't have anything to whine about. (I found something to whine about: whiners.)

this argument is one of those that only come up on the internet

if that was true at every election those who do not vote should be counted as votes for the current government cause it means they are happy with it

As I'm clearly clueless explain to me, that plays incinerate with LL, how LL got buffed. Not that I complained about it in the first place but figured you should put your money where your mouth is...

Or it means people are convinced their vote will not have a meaningful impact on their life/community.
Buy the ticket, take the ride.
I find the patch notes fairly disappointing. Certain nerfs are mind boggling to say the least. Feel bad for the 4 people who still use totem builds. GGGs way of balancing in general has a long way to go before its at all reasonable.

Seriously, show some support and/or adult intelligent argumetation. Crying and blaming is a gimmick used only by spoiled man-babies. PoE players are better than that. Im politely asking all the interested players to keep the forums a high level place.
People are posting their opinions, based on their own perceptions. All you've done is childishly insult all of them. If you think this community is in trouble, posts like yours are the ones putting it in that position.

That's a terribly incorrect analogy. The act of voting and the act of actively participating in a forum discussion are two entirely different things. A more correct analogy would have been one comparing this forum to your local newspaper's Website's "Who are you voting for?" poll, which is obviously statistically irrelevant. The reason why it's statistically irrelevant is exactly the same reason why using the posts here to judge the opinions of the PoE population in general is incorrect: people only raise their voices when they're unhappy.

This is why to do political polls, they have to call people. No self-selection bias that way. I wonder what the ratings of this patch would be if GGG called players?

People who don't vote are apathetic about government, as a rule. PoE players who don't post here are probably not apathetic about PoE, because they're players. Perhaps they're just apathetic about complaining about the game, because they don't have anything to complain about.

Do you REALLY think that every person that plays this game visits the forums, and has commented on this post? You can't be that naïve. The vast majority of players NEVER visit a forum, let alone post. The vocal minority will always have a presence on internet boards...and the vocal minority is usually the ones dissatisfied by change.

your reasoning its just one assumption after the other

Will I get a BSoD if I now delete the "--softwareaudio" in POE's shortcut target?

so now that it's confirmed vaal areas don't appear in maps here is the obvious question:

Do you really think it is a good game design to have end-game players waste hours of playtime opening dozens of instances of ledges or sarns or whatever area, just to be able to have a chance at doing the new content?

a side note

i have 4 frinds who played the game a while with me. But then they realized that they will never have the same chance to grow up then players who played this game since one year.
Exept they buy from rmt what they dont like.

One of my frinds played hardcore and died often in maps. Now 3 changed the game and the hardcore one buyed a legacy kaom and is verry happy to make maps without problems now.

If THAT is the new game philosophie i will also go.

how one thing can connect to the other ... i can't .... i mean

RMT sites are there , and will always be , regardless of what patches will come.

legacy items has nothing to do with that , if your friend sucks (like he obviously does) he would have gone and bought other items regardless.

so how about you tell your friend what you feel about rmt , cause trust me i did to my friend, and play the game with players who don't cheat, and stop blaming ggg cause your friend is a silly person.
