I play a CI Facebreaker. The Vaal Pact change will certainly affect me a lot, but I don't think it'll get anywhere close to actual destruction of the build.

Anyway, let's face it, my character did 43k DPS. At level 72. A nerf is not a surprise, and it is not unfair.

What the Vaal Pact change really means is that I won't be able to go into a room filled with 40 magics and rares, close my eyes, spam Infernal Blow, and open my eyes to a room full of dead monsters with me at full ES. I may have to use a few of those, how do you say, TAK-TIKS. I can live with that.

but my ci reave shadow does 10k dps at level 79 (we all know it's because i'm a terrible player, but ignore that fact for the moment).

i will suffer mightily with this change.

it would be nice if GGG wasn't rebalancing for OP players.

nobody i hang out with has 43k dps

but we're the ones getting nerfed. you, most certainly, are not.

Fixed bugs with font keming.

ha! I get it

I only even noticed it with this post. I guess maybe I got used to the "font keming" bugs.
Great looking changes :) So very excited!!

As always, these are methodically correct and well thought out changes. Please ignore the negatives related to people not coping with change... These new leagues are why I'm still playing the game, they keep the ladder race and item hunt fresh. You guys truly do this right.

All the best, Bravo and I will see you in Invasion league on the 5th!

IMO CI is only feasible for those who are well geared... life is the better option if you are poor like me
If you play Standard and are upset about not having legacy items drop anymore consider the options.

OPTION #1
The current system where people that have invested a lot of time dont have their items/builds simply removed or made uneffective, and 4 month leagues are defined as default. Legacy leagues are just that, legacy. Its a far nicer place than having your hero deleted every 4 months, or what would happen in option 2.

OPTION #2
The system you propose where people that already have legacy items have their stats brought down so new players can find the same tier of items that people who played for years already have. A lot of people don't have bringer or aegis, probably the majority, and sure a lot of people are complaining. But what about all you people that have an item quantity gem, item quantity on gear, and soon even maybe "legacy" quivers? Since its all about an equal playing field you'd be alright with GGG just erasing all item quantity gems from legacy as well as item quantity on gear from your stash? But then how can you balance legacy league without adding the new items that are only in the 4 month now? Suddenly in legacy softcore 4 month items are coming in because people are dieing with these new 4 month items in challenge leagues, now then theres something else to complain about and it ruins the purity of legacy which youre asking for, so you have to make all new additions to 4 month item appear in legacy leagues. So now people in legacy leagues can instantly find new items faster than people that start in a new economy. They can do this with fully geared heros from day one which takes away from 4 month challenge leagues, which are used to balance the game and add new content. This is what you're proposing people, think about it.
Buy the ticket, take the ride.

What people are really proposing is OPTION #3
Those without Legacy items get max roll legacies for free, while all the rich people have their legacy items deleted and all their characters deleted.

its to do with too many items dropping. Screens in parties especially are just walls of text at times. theyre gradually trying to reduce the number of items that drop to stop screen clutter, so Im guessing thats why they targeted quantity.

At your stage in the game I really wouldnt bother trying builds that require legacy uniques, or any powerful unqiues. Ill post you gear I have from a character in hardcore, I just played this char in a new league and leveled it to 74 where I had farmed merciless piety a bit, done some mapping, got as far as it was worth going really for someone who has many characters deep in maps in another league.

thats like the worst gear in the world, its just what I ended up with from looting and doing a couple of trades for a few chaos I found along the way. But you can run maps and farm piety with that gear, no problem. Theres so many basic melee and bow builds that can just walk through to maps with crap gear.

Don't beat yourself up about not being able to do all these crazy builds in the forums yet, learn more about the game, try some cheaper builds, get to endgame and farm what you need for more crazy builds from there. Took most of us many months in this game before we even had a clue what was going on, but then we didnt have op 'I spent a year collecting this gear' builds in the forums to distract us from the bare essentials or making shit gear work. \

This guy said it right

Well, I'll be the first to admit that I don't know much about CI Reavers. In fact, I know a lot about maybe 4 builds, because I'm still pretty new to the game (this will be my first chance to try out a 4-month league from the beginning).

I expected a nerf but from a completely selfish standpoint was delighted to see that this is the only one. You're right, it's not going to affect me that much, only necessitating that I play smart a little more often than I've had to. That's fine with me. But if the intention was to nerf high-power Vaal Pact builds, I'm a little disturbed to think that it's actually going to affect the lower-power ones much more than the high-power ones.
I used to vendor 950 + facebreakers because nobody would buy them. I feel the pain there.

I once found a 20/98 Aegis Aurora and a high roll Bringer of Rain...traded both away for a total of 10ex ;____;

Never again am I trading high level uniques.
Can't stop refreshing the page for more QQ comments. Happy with this patch, keep the good work GGG.
