Wow. RIP to all new players, you won't be able to do much of ANYTHING compared to older ones.

I cannot fathom what GGG expect to achieve with all the legacy-creation. As older players get ever more stronger and farther ahead, just what do new players have a chance to get? Shafted? Again and again each time you "improve" and "balance" the game?

Well, that's how most economies do work. You saw items with prices over 100 Exalted Orbs. And you probably know, that most players see only 1 or 2 Exalted drop. Even if they play long time. So: How could some players have hundreds of Exalted Orbs? A number you can't reach by your own hands wor- ehm play. It's the so called Market (located between the Warehouse District and the Battlefront). And on this Market the mass of the players do exchange their few Orbs for poor, so called "Uniques". In hope for a rise because they think that there is something like "upward mobility" by wearing them. But there isn't. The only thing they achieve is, that they lose their few currency for useless stuff and the upper class becomes rich and more rich.

I really recommend you to read Kaom Marx - The Orbs and Kaom Marx - The Gemlings Manifest.

:D
prediction: meginord's vise will still suck even with removal of attack speed penalty.

but at least you can use it for the 5-chance recipe!
Other than the awesome expansion news 3 things caught my eye.
1: You nerf Life?!
2: You buff ES & Spell power?!
and 3: Holy shit, Rainbowstrides will be even more expensive.

On points 1&2. Kinda disappointing, I was hoping for it to be the other way around. Not buff the existing rolfstomping ES users and reduce the life pool for the rest..

Standard League Casuals cried a river here, :D

This is standard example of stereotype of someone who considers to be superior to others.

I'm sorry, I can not much of English, possibly a few gram-matical confusions exist :)
Spoiler
I know so many /MMO/RPGs on them - which is the same with legacy items and nerfs happened, but realize also that the people who QQ for nerfs and legacy, share basically it want to be as rich as these "lucky" guys in the standart and hardcore. so this one has to have economics winners and losers, or those which are only here to have basically a challenge. any way he wants. the opportunities were there. as I see the nerf ? basically is the same as with everything, see it as a challenge and live with it.

ty GGG Amazong patch, will blow my mind hopefully ingame :D
[Removed by Support] playin' a free to play game! why so sad?

Thanks for the notes and the awesome mini expansion. I look forward to getting on tomorrow and figuring out my character with the new changes in the new leagues!

End-game maps do not contain secret corrupted areas.

Rather disappointed with that, as well.

Overall it looks like a great patch, though.

So much whining , i think it looks awesome , 70% of the whining is of people not reading it correctly .

Nerfs to crit in tree ( got buffed)
Nerfs to st endgame ( no difference)
Nerfs to vaal pact (got buffed , just Ci that got a little nerf , but hey bloodrage)

and people still whining over legacy items .

can't you guys try to have some fun in your lives, is everything misery ?

What about the removal of item quantity mods from rare/magic items, and removal of item quantity gems?

this was the whinecrowds wettest dream for half a year , GGG was forced into it because of people whining the whole time about rarity/quantity being to important.
This was already hinted at before last league.

Because I don't spend too much time on the forum, is it possible for you to elaborate on how this is good for whiners? From a surface viewpoint, I only see this change as making rare things rarer.

It's genuine curiosity, really. Being a poor player whose never seen an exalt drop since closed beta, I actually see this change as hurting me. Unless there's a bigger change that I'm not grasping, like removing 'increased quantity' mods/gems will balance out standard league's economy because there will be less orbs coming into the game.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

MFers found strength in their Afflictions. They became reliant on them. I am not so foolish.
