1.1.0 Patch Notes - Sacrifice of the Vaal

Can we already get the damn passive tree updated? I'd like to know whether I should make Scion or Ranger, before I actually make one of them. So stupid.

Quite funny how the same whinefest happened last big patch ( when all dumb uniques where nerfed the same way). When Dom/Nem were launched, the amount of builds were immensely better than before.

So i'm pretty pleased to see all those tears, i hope the story repeats and we have a fresh game again :)

Well honestly i know it can be really bad for Standard players, but if you only rely on uniques like BoR to build your chars , then go play D3 and farm your legendaries here ( and don't take this as an insult , it's just how the games are)

PoE is about challenge and adaptation, and that's why the new leagues are always great , and why we play this game (well the non-crying part i guess)

Legacy items will never disappear and will continue to grow, if you dont like them, play the leagues!! it's what they are here for.

As always, great patch, looking forward to both leagues this time.

Before those nerfs before nem/dom people were playing with spark, freezing pulse, ice spear, elemental hit, and others on top of skills that are used now . In dom/nem those skills were just not used along with arc, ice shot and many others that were not used ever. I am talking about maps.

So with every patch build diversity is less and less cause people take skills that suck less, and not how it should be, to pick skill that is more fun.

Passive Tree is a Work in Progress until the patch goes live. So even if you get a snapshot of it now, it won't be the same when the patch goes live.

Also, the Skill tree on the web page is linked to the one in game. They change at the same time, which is, when the patch goes live.
“Demons run when a good man goes to war"
OMG why this vaal pact change???

now its designed for life based chars? as if it was not already harder to go full ES...

I built up a full set of good ES items, I paid the price and it was a real pain in the *ss, and now im just wondering if im not going back to life... sad

Not even counting the previously mentioned topics, you're also dealing with the odds. Remind me, what's the point in building a toon capable of soloing ilvl 80+ items when they spawn ilvl 1 mods? Is there any point to breaking your ass for a statistically negligible chance to get the item you need? 99% of the items that drop in Maps aren't even useful to anyone who's barely equipped enough to grind them, much less mark as an improvement over anything except a normal item.

Sad but true... just yesterday I took a break from doing the usual lvl 73-78 maps and wanted to try farming piety. Despite having played for a long time now, I never did any farming of certain bosses, but boy was that an eyeopener... Being able to pick up way more rares and uniques on piety runs and because of the quantity of drops also getting more good rares.. all this by facerolling a lowlevel zone and an easy boss. I'm wondering why the hell I have been doing maps now, when I can just run one zone/boss for better loot, more currency and with no risk.

Yeah, because they can't provide additional link with the work-in-progress tree so we could get a BASIC idea of how severly Scion is nerfed and have some time to figure our builds out.

I don't want to compete with other people either, what Im on about is every patch puts people in major disadvantage due the legacy system. Wich I understand perfectly and am a supporter of - But when at the same time they reduce the possibility to ever keep up with the growing prices by removing MF on ALL leagues, not just the new ones where the "competition is", as you would put it. I've no quarrel starting with any changes there since everyone starts with the same set. But why remove MF on the legacy league?

You do realize that what Im on about isn't being inferior, poorer or richer. But to keep the playing field even on the legacy characters by keeping the stats same? Surelly if MF is the problem, its a problem far beyond fixing in legacy.

Unless ofcourse I've misunderstood and the MF changes only come in effect in the new 4 month leagues in wich case I don't give a rats ass.

Why are you concerned about disadvantages and even playing fields if you don't want to compete?

I believe GGG wants to phase out MF and eventually buff boss loot tables substantially, if they already won't in Sacrifice of the Vaal.
