Would the fact that this patch is so monumental create further PoE disk defragmenting, or completely reset it?
I mean, should we use that defrag tool for PoE or completely uninstall for this patch to make sure we don't get any unnecessary lag/loading times? PS. Butterflies? :P IGN: Golem_Antsy, Harvest

" You're obviously too ignorant to understand that many of those auras are needed to get 100% rarity bonus to wondertraps, I'm already as it is a squishy kill for any mobs. So not being able to get the bonus, will make farming useless. RIP for most builds. Reason why I mention squishy is because that's the negative(it sucks, but im just saying it's not "unfair), it isn't unfair because chaos will rape me with 100 hp:D so it limits what I can do IGN: UrName(Standard)

" it's not used like that man. You use flat x auras on your HP and % based auras on your mana. That way you can manage your mana pool and/OR use more auras than you could usually use. Life based builds need life based nodes and taking extra pathing to grab reduced % mana reserved is quite a luxury if you already have a build that works with Simula swapping. Two of my builds will require major respec and this is a huge change for those and we are not getting respec points...There are more aspects to this change than just "go take BM node". And it wouldn't work anyway, I can't use hatred and purity with BM node, it's just too much for a life based build. The way I see it, this is just further stimulating ES builds, lessening build diversity and/or making shavornes that much more desirable... Well crap, devs stole my butterflies. You know what happens now, right?
That's right: I ask for some kind of cosmetic butterfly effect. Butterfly Swarm Tempest Shield that shoots flesh-eating butterflies D.Gray-man style! A cloud of butterflies with a frenzied trail of them for Arctic Armor! Ethereal Butterflies! Revolving butterfly aura effects! The possibilities are endless! Hell, some of those would look pretty cool with locusts instead of butterflies too. |

The real issue is not so much losing the Covenant/Malachai's trick, the issue is the uselessness of Blood Magic Gem with Aura's, and % Aura's on life when used in conjunction with a melee build.
Sure ranged can spend 1k-2k life on auras but melee's just cant sacrifice those kind of numbers. And % auras...please. Who would spend 40% life to gain 50% more armor? Melee classes need these auras but are hamstrung the most of any build really. If the cost of blood magic was reduced significantly it might not be as much of an issue. But the truth of the matter is, for the classes that can spare the life, most auras are a safety net. For melee it is a necessity. Buff life, or reduce blood magic cost please. Realistically the BM gem should have been reduced when the HP nodes took an across the board. And if the argument is that BM for skills would be made too cheap that I understand, so go ahead and create two mods, one for cost and one for reserve. |

" Not only did blood magic not get rebalanced around our new lower health pools but because regen in this game functions as a percentage of total hp (or mana or es) not only do I have more hp to absorble attacks but I have less passive regen and less life leeched causing a double whammy to my effective health pool. Also saying "use mana" is clearly not a viable option which is why no one uses it. The buffs we cast from our mana are required to be successful in end game, especially close range/melee. |
