Ready for the BETA!

I can say was very excited after hearing about this game last year and the hype that a beta was to come. I'm a bit deflated now, that the game has been delayed. How do I apply so i can get in on the alpha or bets?

This game looks good and reminds me of Dungeon Siege 1 hardcore can't wait to test it.

No doubt. Someone else brought this up in another thread but if you go back and compare screenshots from when the game was announced almost a year ago to recent ones it's a world of difference.

Will you guys be releasing before Diablo 3? I see they moved their release date forward.

I think their public betas will be fairly close together, but you can never tell how long a product will remain in beta.

D3 actually will appear on shelves so it'll be pushed out of beta fairly quickly.

PoE on the other hand doesn't have that requirement and because it's microtx based their alpha-beta-gold phases are continuous and often undifferentiated except by arbitrary lines.

So while I think they will call it a gold release after D3, in all reality the game will 'release' during open beta, which is theoretically before D3.

I'm ready for Beta too :-)

I hope PoE beta gets released before D3 beta, so that more people will look at the game and later see how better it is than D3.

See, i don't think that it's a bad thing they will be released in similar time frames. Because first it is not a choice as one is free and secondly GGG has stated that they will support the game for around 10 years. D3 might get a couple expansions, but after that its pretty much dead. People will get bored of PvP.

Now PoE on the other hand was built from the ground up with multiplayer in mind. So i think that it will just get people interested in the genre. Which will allow people that may not regularly play ARPG's to become interested.
