another thing is, that everyone think if they are a beta tester of the upcoming d3 they will play the whole game till the end.. nono^^ you only have areas in which you will play again and again.. any deeper game mechanics are locked and so on. its only for bug searching.

GGG will support the game for 10 years if it is financially successful. If D3 comes along and cannibalizes PoE's user base to the point that GGG can't cover their expenses then don't expect PoE to be around for very long. Long term plans don't matter if you're not viable in the short term.

Yes, but they are not planning on making it all back in short term. They have been developing the game for years. I don't think a half year will kill. Besides arguing over the financial model has been done for and as foe their future it's impossible to say.

PoE will be successful and popular. The game's look and financial model alone will make it so popular.

can't wait for this to come out. i think d3 will be postponed till very late 2011 or even 2012 but regardless i'll play both this and d3 at the same time, i'll just have to cut out drinking from my schedule.
