" i doubt they even bothered to check it, they just saw a popular clip on yt, saw flicker working again and people having fun so they applied quick change to brick it, which didn't even take them 2 min to implement. |

Huge L and show how much the balance team dont play their game and are now, just straight up lying
they talk about damage immunity and a build that can make up to 100 reduce chance to spend charge, even if there's no damage immunity, you still could get hit and stunned while flickering but no,let's nerf flicker instead of nerfing twister, bow build and minnion build that doesnt need to play to clear most of the game too, just straight rebuild your entire vision of the game you dont want people to play one-two button build, that's fine, but why in the world twister, tame beast build and bow build are still there then? i genuinly want an explanation |

" Wait... your brain([Removed by Support]) thinks 4 days in is mid season? YIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIKES. That explains so much about most complaints. Failure to understand definitions of words. PoE Enjoyer for over a decade and counting... Last edited by JC_GGG#0000 on Jun 3, 2026, 10:17:27 AM

You are right to correct me, "Mid season" was not accurate, I should have said during. I appreciate your pedantic and facetious response.

Flicker players are far far from immortal goof balls but ok

Ok to be fair last time I played flicker it was very good. But the thing I hated about it the most was all the random unexplainable deaths. I truly dont get where you see immortality in flicker. Buuuut I dont play it anymore so I dont really care.

For those who think Flicker Strike cannot give you immunity you are correct.
However, it can give you almost-immunity. There are requirements for it and even though you may think you spent a fortune to get it up and running, you may not have the conditions that allow it. GGG know the condition. Considering it's being fixed to a degree let's presume its ok to talk about it. Networking and what you see on the client side is more of a proxy of what happens. In some cases the client will differ from what happens on the server because of the latency of requests. This is called Prediction. The server is authoritative in nature, meaning it has the final say. It takes what the client input requests, then applies it to what is happening with an interpolation, or extrapolation, of the data to average out and smooth gameplay. This is done to avoid a laggy visual approach which without this kind of system would mean a game that runs this fast would rubberband like a bribed politician. If you played POE1 in the early days, you would know that holding a skill could cause serious desync, and they introduced a secondary networking method with Lockstep to solve this. Now in the case of Flicker Strike the amount of requests, at such high frequency, could cause the prediction to bypass what actually happened. If you are moving fast enough you could avoid any hits because of the way POE2 has wind-ups in the animations and won't be aiming near you or hit you as you flicker by. In some cases the frequency, combined with certain setups for restoring health/ES on hit or kill, means by the time you do get hit the server tick has resolved a different result than you actually dying or taking damage like you should. There would be edge cases where this may mess up and you would die due to client input lag from processing too much, but effectively it could make you invulnerable. This may be edge case with very specific setups and not affect all flicker strike players, but the fact it can happen means it is a problem that should be fixed. However don't worry ! GGG aren't doing this to punish anyone. It's a logistical change to avoid when it can happen and also resolve the accuracy of the server/client relationship. So you should be happy your game is playing more accurately to what the intended results of flicker strike should be. Thank you GGG are the words that spring to mind.
