Lmao. Yeah, completing pinnacle content will be unachievable by 95% of people now due to the price gaps in mid weapons and BIS, let alone being able to actually achieve BIS. It's not going to counter high prices, whatsoever....it's going to create a HUGE gap between mid- and high-tier items.

Bad change unless there's new crafting elements they aren't disclosing.
Can't wait to start fresh to try to complete the campaign. Hoping this time I won't be falling asleep by the time I get to the third act.

It's a pity that the story is an afterthought in this game, and there is nothing to do except to get to the “endgame”. The world doesn't feel whole. There are just locations for you to run through as fast as you can. I hope GGG could do something about that for 1.0.

After the crafting change in newest patchnotes, crafting martial weapons early league would be something like this:

1. find a base with % phys dmg and % to critical chance
2. use perfect regal and hope for it hitting a suffix mod (no omens to force it)
3. desecrate prefix and have 33% chance to fracture % phys damage
4. use omen of exalt suffix + omen of double exalt + (perfect) exalt to get 2 random suffixes
5. use crystallized prefix + perfect essence of abrasion/flames/ice/electricity to gain x% damaga as (this replaces the prefix desecration)
6. desecrate last prefix with flat phys roll (can omen of light until you get it)

Weapon would have:
pre = % phys damage (fracture)
pre = flat phys (desecrate)
pre = gain % damage (perfect essence)
suf = % to critical chance
suf = random
suf = random



Man finding a good base with %phys alone is hard and you want one with %crit? with perfect aug and trans getting nerfed its gonna be hard dude.

Yes but at the same time good items will be more rare than before. This is only implemented to protect players who don't understand from crafting and to prevent RMT even going crazier and of course to prevent people easily farming max mods t15 and everything else day1 with an insane weapon that you can craft super cheap day 1.

Many people made insane amount of divines by deterministic crafting, another person could make one easily but they don't understand therefore they purchase it for higher price. Which made a lot of people rich also increased the RMT scene more.

It was also boring tbh, having to see a lot of insane items because everyone was trying to sell the same looking items over and over again. There was no weight of having a good item, the only part was to get higher roll from the essences. Which made them more expensive but it was not a huge dps increase overall.

I'm perfectly fine with this change. Deterministic crafting does not fit the game very well. We should be getting an insane item on the ground or we should be getting lucky when trying our luck.

O yeah look day 1, all you need is 2 perfect essences and 1 greater flat phy essence, one jawbone and you are good. Which is like what 2-3 divine at max?

You get one high phys weapon, you are completely safe afterwards. You could make an insane DAY 1 weapon that will help you clear T15 full mods easily.

Fubgun might be the reason for this change tbh because it was not there on the patch notes day which means they did not aware of it. Fubgun yesterday showed people how you can get a super easy insane weapon day 1 with this deterministic crafting. Obviously most of us knew this but there are a lot of people who did not remember. He just crafted a bow that is insane, day1 possible easily and he created a set of items alongside with it like possible items, most mods are crap. He tried the build with that weapon and crap gear on t15 full mods, max diff boss. He was literally one shoting everything. This should not be possible.

U DID NOT SEE NEW CRAFT OPTIONS, U DID NOT SEE 20+ NEW SKILLS/SUPPORTS, U DID NOT SEE ALL NEW UNIQUES.

so all ggg want is mirror cartels to craft, it's not allowed for normal people to craft their gear. they removed homogenising omens and now this change... the only way to craft is whittles and i swear to god they have to be raining from the sky for this make any sense

New league will have some kind of deterministic way of crafting. This way and essences will occupy the same slot on items. U ll be able to have either essence or this new way of crafting.

You don't know if the new league will have deterministic crafting though. They didn't show anything like that to support this claim.
