PoE1 slop enjoyers, rejoice!
" Seemingly, yes. You've missed how patch by patch the combat and game difficulty in general has been getting worse and more PoE1 style. I can only assume you didn't play since 0.1 or experienced Act 1 of 0.1... because that was literally the only time this game had a decent combat experience. But instead of improving on that, they did the opposite and have been slowly leaning into the endgame feeling more instead... the endgame that was haphazardly put together because they didn't have one ready in time and panicked when they saw players reaction to the "lacking" endgame of last epoch. Mind you, it wasn't even all that lacking for a new release... but the mindless mob can't tell the difference between the bloat of a 20 year old game and a new one... and since they consume content at the rate of a tiktok doomscroller...well... you get the picture. And for all their panicked reaction to that, they still didn't satisfy the angry mob, not even close. Shocker. "Sigh" Last edited by IonSugeRau1#1069 on May 12, 2026, 4:51:39 PM

Meaningful combat and combo playstyle during the campaign (or just any leveling process) sure, I'm down.
End game (level 90 or 95+) let me run the auto clicker apk if I feel like it and destroy the game with just a single click. You choose the playstyle you want and work on it with mixing skills, combos etc, myself and others will choose the playstyle we want the same way. For content and bloat, better to have anything to do than nothing to do. The end game we had was terrible in every sense of the word, worse with the endless temple running in 0.4, even tho it was a breath of fresh air. Breach, Altars and Expedition altho good felt terrible to play and farm, at some point you had no incentive to play any of those modes. Especially in the 0.4 temple as you can just get more divines per hour and buy whatever you want. For the contingency of the game and how it spikes or whatever for the game's lifespan, those charts are meaningless at the end of the day. Especially when a game is not full release, not everyone plays it (due to not buying, gifting or simply waiting for when it becomes free completely) |
