What POE could learn from No Rest for the Wicked

Recently played No Rest for the Wicked and immediately thought "this is the game POE2 wanted to be" the combat is slow but fun, the enemies, even the most garbage ones, are threatening, every decision in combat has meaning and consequences, and they even made parrying good, whenever people here talk about engaging combat No Rest for the Wicked is what comes to my mind.

Even if POE2's gameplay is already settled, i still believe they could pick something from this game's combat system and implement here, since the devs want this "meaninful encounters and engaging combat"...

The game is more challenging than POE2 but less frustrating, the enemies are few but deadly. Maybe this is the "vision" they wanted from the beggining?

Anyway, for the devs, take a look at this game, i think POE2 could benefit a lot from it. For the players try this game at least once

Sounds like I could learn that No Rest for the Wicked is my kinda game. With how good Ori and the Will of the Wisps was, I've got high hopes for this one. Trying not to make the same mistake I did with this game and join during early access though...

I'll take it as evidence that no one from GGG reads this forum if this post praising a competitor doesn't get nuked.

Have you tried the "View Staff Posts" button? Yeah its 'broken' in the bug forum and returns nothing there as well.

For all we know they listened to their streaming partners complaints, rather than reading comments from people yelling at the wind in the Early Access Feedback forum. Communication with their early access testers is not a strong point for GGG.
I'm a huge advocate for slow and meaningful combat, but No Rest for the Wicked is not what PoE2 ever tried to be or should be. No Rest for the Wicked is arguably not even an ARPG, just a top-down view souls game. It is lackluster and painfully slow, and I don't mean just combat-wise, but from a build development perspective. PoE and good ARPGs in general constantly give off this "just a little more till next upgrade" sensation to players that is absolutely crucial to the nature of the genre. No Rest for the Wicked has none of that.

You understand that the actual feedback is drowned by the tears of crybabies, right?

Maybe you should read up on what ARPG stands for and how it came to be.

Imagine a world where it was someone's job to sift through all that and occasionally respond something to the effect of:

"Thank you for your participation in early access and your feedback as we try to make our game the best it can possibly be. We have heard similar complaints/suggestions and are working to see if and how we can improve this aspect of game play. Please note we receive many suggestions and cannot promise to make any specific changes before weighing the balance against their overall potential impact on the game. Thank you so much."

Otherwise, they should just probably remove the tease of that 'staff replies' filter. It's misleading and a bad look.

So you can complain about them responding but still doing nothing? Your complaining would just shift.

ARPG in this day and age means a successor to Diablo 2 to 99% of people that have ever played PoE. You can tell us that action and role-playing elements together make an ARPG, but that is not what most people here mean by the term.

Are the souls games ARPGs? Is Mass Effect an ARPG? Is Cyberpunk and ARPG? According to you and according to game journalists they sure are, but according to the grand majority of PoE players myself included (i.e. people that aren't stuck on semantics) they're not.
