Headhunter Belt - This is a joke right?

Oh I read it. I rarely use the item outside of T4 sim. The fact so many people get worked up over balance and a super rare item doing what it does is silly.

I assume you think that ARPGs require skill also?

Not sure I can help you then. Cheers and happy hunting in game.

86% of lvl 100 characters use HH this league. It's almost the same as rare amulet, and there's barely any unique amulet worth using. The next most used belt is 6% used and it's ingenuity which is a very strong belt (if you don't compare it to HH)

To put into perspective, Nascent Hope which is an almost must have charm only has 69% use

It's obviously brokenly op and everyone uses it unless they're trolling

If you want to take a look: https://poe.ninja/poe2/builds/vaal?min-level=100

Granted not every single lvl 100 character is there, even mine isn't since I didn't bother linking, but it gives a good idea

DING DING DING DING
ninja requires people to link it which is obviously going to result in data that has a MASSIVE bias towards more serious players who are more likely to be min/maxing.
Metas will always exist regardless of how you feel about them. If it's not headhunter it'll be "OmG evErY sOrC iZ uSinG tHesE SkIlL GeMS DELETE THEM"

What kind of logic is that? The fact it's used by serious players is exactly why it's used as data

I don't feel good or bad about HH either way, I don't care if it gets nerfed or not before I see what 0.5 endgame looks like

easy dopamine is what most of people need to be happy. that's why gambling is a common thing in games now

This game seems more like cortisol addiction than dopamine addiction with how **** the odds are. I hate crafting so much, and every drop is absolute trash.
For gambling i'd rather play roulette.

if i remember right, HH exist since early poe1 and MoK even earlier
so it is intended to get superpower for endgame and there is no alternate way to boost dps that high with a single item (excluding weapon, but without weapon you cant play, right?)
same for MoK and duping items. where most of devs fight against bots and duping items ... or make it for visibility of they are fighting, ggg decided to give up and add such thing to their game
so in theory no one need to think or try to craft mirror tier items, you just need few people who will be lucky with crafting and all you need is farm currency to buy mirror service. such an interesting gameplay devs offer to us. just farm and buy

Yeah that makes sense, that's so boring though.

I'm going to have to try out this belt and report back.
I already had one in my collection with 2 charm slots, switching to it lowered my fire resistance to 40%.

but i checked it after killing rares and it increased my max fire resistance by 10% so I had 85% fire resist afterwards.

If I get rings with enough resists to max resistances without a belt, this item is pretty broken for tankyness as well. I can only imagine what its like on my Warrior with "The hammer of faith giant Maul, getting free shrines AND free rare mods with this belt.

I dropped my ingenuity when I switched over and my resists went form 75 to 65 and I lost about 10% of my in game stated dps. Didn't matter, once you get up to about 15 monster buffs, you're basically way tankier and hit harder. Run it in a decent temple where you can easily have 40 buffs permanently and its pointless god mode with only the slightest annoyance from warping around.

I don't know whether you're getting the full scaled monster buffs or not but its just stupid in the current state. I guess this item has been around in POE for a long time so it's probably not going away, which means this just may not be a game for me, barring big changes, or maybe a change to SSF ala CoF in LE, where I could disregard HH without feeling penalized badly for doing so.
Ingenuity is a great belt as well, but defintely not as good as Headhunter.

Do you know if the waystone mods that are granted to rare mobs also get transfered to the player?

like mods that give mobs 50% extra damage as lightning damage,
or even mods that give 50% more life, etc.

straight up getting the waystone mods along with the other rare mobs passives & spells would be absolute insanity
