twitch streamers conspire to nerf casual players
" sorry for the double post, But this is a fantastic point. Anyone can give criticism, even a layman. They may not know Why something doesn't feel right but they can still tell if something is wrong. It's on the devs to interpret that criticism and find the actual problem there. The input of casuals for ex. can give insight into how intuitive the game is or if people in general are having fun. It is entirely possible to focus too deeply on competitive play at the expense of your larger player base and that can and does kill games. It's also a large part of why poe2 has put a lot of effort into lowering that barrier of entry for casual play. Being able to pick up the game quickly, having a fun gameplay loop from the start, things like controller support etc. etc. |

" Slightly off-topic, i find this so weird and I'm not sure why. From my perspective PoE2 has a worse overall introduction and campaign experience than PoE1, yet we see the inverse with numbers. Maybe the mountain that is PoE1 scares off many players, if this holds true then at some point i wonder if PoE2 will lose those same players. Probably why i wanted to call the group fairweather customers, following trends etc and not adding to the depth of developement. You are right in that even someone whos never played PoE might have a gem of insight and mark did talk about this in one of his latest interviews. Well I can aknowledge that some poeple, they might be streamers also, are gatekeeping critical information while advertising some build/strategy to exploit it or profit from it, but there are some everyday streamers that are casual players. Not elites. not conspiracists, no harcore mindless grind 20hours per day. I watch from time to time a guy in youtube named HeavyHeals. He is chill and casual and his steam audience is prety casual players too. Maybe you should check other streamers, they defently exist.
I like standard.

" If you are refering to poe2 steam charts for the numbers you have to remember that poe2 early acces unlike poe1 doesn't have a sepperate chinese client, so the numbers are difficult to compare. [Removed by Support]
Once men turned their thinking over to machines in the hope that this would set them free. But that only permitted other men with machines to enslave them “The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.” |

Release the Streamer Files!
Being happy is hard work.

" how do you even find these more casual ones? The youtubz seems to hard peddle the bigger tuberz. My feed does not break through the algorithm noise... POE2 should be the ruthless vision experience and POE1 should be the zoom power fantasy sandbox to capture both audiences.
I petition to return all the fun stuff that was removed or nerfed over the years back into POE1. |

" well in twitch and in youtube too i think , you can both search streams by game. Twitch at the left side of the screen shows some suggestions from the same game or similar games/interests. You can browse. I like standard.

I wouldn't say it's a conspiracy by streamers, exactly.
But by the top tier players hoarding the drops from content they trivialize but the greater majority of the player base would never reach? Oh, you BETCHA, 1000% They don't want the unwashed rabble to have access to those magic money dumps, they want to suck the game economy dry and crow about how much better they are than the Real Lifer casuals who can't dedicate 12 hours a day to farming, or firing up half a dozen hot boxes to bot away. I've played this game long enough, I can 'trivialize' uber content as well. But get decent drops? Never on my accounts. I've been plugging away since Talisman league and have never seen a mirror drop, or even gotten many shards from becoming a gold slave to run shipping. I don't have a PhD in PoE, and that's what is required to make the game pay out. Patch Notes 3.15:
Fixed a bug where players believed the game was playable. This has been corrected and made retroactive. Patch Notes 3.19: Fixed a bug where players adapted to 3.15. This bug cannot be corrected, so we have implemented a 90% reduction in item access as a punishment. |

It's always the newer players.
