twitch streamers conspire to nerf casual players

Kingsmarch is a problem because the mechanic, as the only mechanic in the game, doesn't require you to invest into the atlas tree, nor use scarabs to utilize boats or map runners. When the entry level is only gold, you're left with feeling like an idiot if you don't take advantage of Kingsmarch. Settlers as a mechanic SHOULD require atlas and scarab investment, like any other mechanic. The balance here is severely "off". Why is ore the only thing that needs atlas/scarab investment?
--- That said, blaming "Kingsmarch" or the "Genesis tree" for bad ground loot is misplaced energy. Blame GGG for moving every reward in the game away from the ground and into tiles/mechanics. The reason they are doing this, is to limit the "ultra juicers", as "John The Ultra Juicer" can't really juice Kingsmarch more than "Jimmy the casual". But as they now have removed almost every way of scaling loot (IIR, IIQ, certain scarabs, map effect and so on) they SHOULD buff ground loot CONSIDERABLY. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile. Last edited by Phrazz#3529 on Feb 26, 2026, 11:01:53 AM

" Yes, this is exactly right. But this is not a bad thing. The elitism in this game is already through the roof and there will be another opportunity to exploit and scale sth soon i assume, where the 0,1% of group farmers can rule the market again for a while. But just deleting Kingsmarch, as much as i dislike it myself, will probably be at the detriment of the player count because many players welcome the regular income by just playing the game and earning some gold. It is a very fair mechanic and cannot be exploited and you can always just run farmers and nothing more and send a big shipment every now and then if you don't want to engage with it more. Also, mechanics that don't require atlas points are plenty in the game. Kirac Missions(ok, only if you buy the beast to get more missions when you farm them) and Heist for example. Both very solid. And if you run Heist for example you will be at a disadvantage when it comes to kingsmarch because of much less gold income. So it is balanced to some degree, while if you are a juice farmer you have more gold than you will ever spend, so there is really no disadvantage, all you have to do is click reroll until oyu have lvl 5 farmers and sailors and mappers if you have the gold, which you have if you run juiced content, unless you only play one map. mobilemarch needs to be reality checked.. I don't care what is your take on it but clocking in every x minutes/hours to get free currency is absolute lame while in the actual game the loot is abysmal.
You want loot? play maps. Whoever keeps nerfing the % mods should check themselves and apply for a mobile lead game designer inestad of an aprg one. "Parade your victories, hide your defeats. Mortals are so insecure."
"The strange voice showed Aul a future where his legacy was forgotten, where new cultures broke themselves upon Aul's ruined world." Take me back when poe was the actual focus. |

If GGG is not going to remove player to player trade for the other many valid reasons, then maybe they would remove it to keep the streamers that don't play ssf or hcssf from being juiced to the max by their subscribers?

the streamer client should be removed , no priority , its a wonder that the most elite allways get away with no server instability or oether..
my solution with goes with the theme of exiles: Streamers with influence bace who "gift" them items/currency .. are on a private server allways , and we all collectivily dont give a fck about em ass they are on their own island. either way , my opinion is this; ggg will allways priorities stremers etc as they have the most volume on their case , we the working class non 20h/day players dont have the opportunity and means to do that so we will allways be the underclass even if we are like 60-70% of players. edit: allso we are getting tired, old , and more likely when we got free time its allways something what takes our freetime away. Top tier bait.
Casual players devalue most games they infect, we have at least a decade of evidence for this now. Most serious players have the correct opinion because they play to the point of finding problems you may never knew existed because you don't play for long enough. |

Solution is very simple: give SSF 10x better ground drops and 10x more simple and deterministic crafting ( current PoE crafting = casino roulette for whales and stremers btw ) And block SSF transfers. Then this constant trade disasters and abuses will be less important.

" no they don't, they keep a game fresh. You want people to casually try out your game, otherwise it's gonna be deadge soon.Probably 170k out of 180k players on league start are casual players. Without them the game will be dead soon. That doesn't mean the game design should cater to casuals. But the way you put it, casuals are sth bad to the game, which they are not for obvious reasons.
