twitch streamers conspire to nerf casual players
|
The shamelessness of these people is unbelieveble, idk who exactly comes up with their strategy, but god they are not even tryin to hide its all pre-planned attack on casual playerbase.
They use buzzwords and exact word by word text, releasing wave of videos about how particular mechanics they dont like should be nerfed/deleted from the game, and as always its never something that benefits them (jobless 0.01% of playerbase), its always something that evens out the playing field for the casuals. It would not be so bad if they actually proposed something specific to fix the issues with ground loot, but no they only propose specific ways to nerf casuals. Biggest frustration for me is how they treat the playerbase as simpletons, to simultaneously say that ground loot basically non-existent and claim that mechanics they dont like devalue said ground loot, wait a minute how exactly something that doesnt exist could be devalued? Somehow in their mind nolifers dropping 1k uniques in a map is ok and should be kept, while influx of uniques from a tree is a big no no Ofc they just pretend, they know and understand everything, they want buffs for themself and nerfs for everyone else, as any other organised force in the history of the humankind My personal opinion on the situation is: 1) Ground loot is bad, ggg should fix it 2) once ground loot is good, tree and boats/mappers will stop being an issue automatically bcs it only looks like a lot compared to zero loot from ground loot drops, plus its extra steps compared to just killing monsters, rn skipping it - not the option but only bcs ground loot is so bad 3) balancing game around 0.01% always ends up the same, with equivalent concurrent players numbers When you have 0 chaos drops from a map and 3chaos from a boat, its a lot, what if you have 50 chaos from a map and 3 chaos from a boat? but for boat you need to be goldslave and interact with kingsmarch? Same with tree, if finding 6-link wasnt a 40 hours long "adventure", getting 6-link from a tree wouldnt be such a big deal Casuals stay strong and unite protect the tree and boats from purple conspiracy! #proteccthetree #proteccmeboats p.s. f mappers, go ahead delete em, no1 likes them anyways cant finish single map without loosing one dude Last bumped on Mar 3, 2026, 8:04:12 PM

It might be time to take a break from the game.
Having spent thousands of euros on Path of Exile over the years, I will not be further supporting it financially until and unless GGG resumes offering Technical Support.

Organized? No. The conspiracy theory doesn't hold in that regard, but the argument you can make is that a lot of streamers are either clueless or deliberately ignorant about issues that don't affect them, usually the ones at the top, very much the same as with people IRL in general. I.e. that tone deaf Mathil video about PoE 2 temples being fine and not affecting economy and how you can still print currency by being online for hours upon hours per day, running meta strats (/s).
Or how they always complain that there's not enough content to do because they are online farming 12-16 hours per day, running the most meta shit all day every day, rather than exploring something "less efficient". You are gonna run out of stuff to do very quickly when all you care about is Divs per hour and how long it takes to run a map with every build you make. And they will almost always wave away any form of guilt when it comes to economic collapses right after they deliberately made videos about some currency printing exploit for views, completely disregarding their own integrity as a streamer. The whole mantra of "exploit early, exploit often" didn't come from nowhere (and I hate it). [0.4] Pyro Ward: https://youtu.be/E-8P4XfDHJw

+1
At least i am not the only one who sees it. There campaign is so obvious, lol. They try to manipulate everyones opinion. I wouldn't describe it in such negative words, because wth nothing new. THey are influencers and they are full of themselves, that's just how the cooky crumbles. I would like to see Kingsmarch removed yes, because of the gameplay, but certainly not the tree, as it is the best thing in the game right now in my opinion. Some of the influencers that make the "ground loot" videos are group mf farmers and their goal is to have the biggest influence on the market as possible and the tree is simply in their way and who knows what they do with all their currency when nobody is watching... " What's the overlap between MF group play and the tree exactly? The only item type affected by MF group play are global drop uniques, something the tree already is quite bad at. |
|
" When the tree covers certain item slots you need to farm less currency that you would otherwise spend to buy items from other players. So, there is less money to be made with the exception of some uniques that cannot be replaced of course. Anyway, this might not be the key argument but i am certain they have an agenda otherwise they would not do these videos and it is certainly related to their own currency generation in this game. Most semi causal players have more currency now than they had before the tree and kingsmarch. But the big mf farmers have obv less. A good thing overall, but of course they don't see it that way, hehe. The problem with scalable ground loot is, that it can be exploited by those group farmers and that the gap between "normal" players and organized group farmers is to big. This problem was addressed by GGG and now everybody acts like that is a problem. Well, no. The state of the game is better than it was before in my opinion, even if Kingsmarch isn't the pinnacle of poe gameplay. Last edited by Strickl3r#3809 on Feb 26, 2026, 8:51:25 AM
