I played D2R recently and I'm shocked at how wrong POE2 feels after D2R.
I don't know why..i just don't get the same vibe.
I play POE2 just for the graphics and for the classes, everything else is boring in POE2 to me

But if they would implement this (exp checkpoints), it might make it more interesting for me

They do, they are called levels.
