Indeed. This is the main issue about Mercenary class. A little from this , a little from that and let us choose also a little bit from those....
Too much for nothing!

Only Ascendancy can correct the problematic p.tree and the ton of choices that Crossbow should implement. Meh, i tried it and i left it before 50 level.

Inherent bonuses gained should be quadruple. What's the purpose of gaining 300-400 Life when playing with 1800 Life. No you are not one tap dead. You are half tap dead....


To Devs: What support node have you added so far about low amount of Life playing GL Ascendancy? With what other node you supported us in p.tree that gives increases in Life points? Literally nothing....

And you expect then someone to play Mercenary builds???

Gemling Legionnaire is arguably the worst performing Ascendancy in 0.4.0. To improve the lackluster performance in the next Content Patch 0.5.0, I would like to suggest a few sizable buffs that specifically target item requirements, max resistances, and spirit efficiency.

* Adaptive Capability: Highest attribute also satisfies Item Requirements (in addition to Gems).
* Thaumaturgical Infusion: Gain +2% to Max Resist per 3 Support Gems (up from +1%).
* ​Integrated Efficiency: Skills gain 1% Increased Spirit Reservation Efficiency per Support Gem socketed of your most numerous color.

With these buffs, Adaptive Capability grants Gemlings true adaptability by wearing any equipment type, Thaumaturgical Infusion makes Gemlings more of an elemental tank, whereas Integrated Efficiency allows for more defensive buffs and minions making the Legionnaire a true commander.


I mean it was GOD Tier Broken the last 3 patches...so, they removed Gem nodes because of how OP broken it was. So all other classes were effected because of how Broken Gemling was, they literally re-designed the Passive Tree because of this.
The problem with GL Ascendancy is survibility not DPS buffs. Dps overall is good but it needs a ton up especially in Crossbow use. Survibility from the other hand sucks. The problem lies in balance between ES and Armour ofcourse and it's not generally problem of GL Ascendancy but it doesn't support to a minimum level that it will help players stay alive in game.

Thous it needs strong nodes supporting damage reduction or nodes it will raise Life points more 30-50% or increase ES at least 70-100% since ES amount to Merc builds is overall nonexistent (80-120).


If GL Ascendancy stays like it is more and more players will abandon this type of builds. It's clearly, blatantly obvious who survives or not in battle through percentage monthly sheet that shows class choices.
