PoE2 Is Bleeding Economic Integrity
|
if players can still trade, then there will still be organized forces that outplay You every second of every hour of every league.
even removing party from the equation won't solve Your problem, OP. Even if all botters/rmt'ers were gone, it wouldn't fix OP's problem.
Spoiler
maybe SSF Standard is more your League?
Don't get lost by being so focused on the target that you forget to enjoy your surroundings.

I notice there's still been no effort to prove the claims being made here.

" i have tested playing with a friend in a temple. the loot drop is doubled but we have to share so net net is the same. but its twice as hard so i dunno if its really worth it if you gotta share loot. but if you have leechers its a different story. hope this helps. |
|
" try it again but make your friend a rarity bot . Then juice the maps and try to find leechers and see how you can easily brick the economy. Most of the currency will be yours as your friend if he enjoy aurabot , he will not even care to create another build . Also his aurabot abour 20 divines enough to make it running super crazy good. Another good point you dont have to run any rarity on your gear just focus dps glass canon. Last edited by SaKRaaN#0012 on Jan 20, 2026, 3:05:28 AM

Let me add for you another game breaking mechanic for party play that is not fair for solo players in this game.
When people start a new league , They can abuse the shop from NPC to find + level of items to boost themself in the game. Due to the bad currency drop in act 1 and act 2 . Also due to the low amount of gold to gamble from the NPC that sell gambling gear. The players will have to rely on the fixed currency drops they have added in 0.3 to resolve some minor issues. We all know this does not resolve the main problem in the game. There are so many ways to abuse this game and break the integrity and economy and gameplay. How much effort GGG placing to fix this issues ?? Nothing all they care about prepare some skins to sell and a new league and drop that shit. Once a mechanic is added to the game . The only fixes will be how to limit it to a certain degree while maintaing all possible ways to be abused. |

I mean, if the enemies are buffed in multiplayer then the rewards should be as well. It's an extra incentive for friends to play together and have fun.
This is less an issue with co-op play and more with the way trade operates, which allows groups of power farmers to dominate trade and fix prices. For them it isn't about getting in-game currency, it's about monopolizing high value items and keeping prices high to encourage players to spend real money on their websites. Some will read that and find the claim dubious, but ask yourself: who actually cares about their pricing if they're only in it for the game? Simple players don't care all that much about the poe merchant metagame, so long as they get an acceptable return for good drops they don't want. Each league is four months, and absolutely no one who plays PoE for fun is upset that they failed to amass a useless fortune of in-game currency. What GGG needs to to is set a ceiling price on items based on criteria like drop rate and boss / carrier spawn rate. This ofc will prompt power farmers to try to sell items directly off-site, so it remains up to those lazy players with big wallets to stick to official trade. |

The issue with co-op play is the existence of MF/Aura/Curse bots. Thanks to Rarity and its toxic influence on......everything really.

Still I dislike an open pool of loot in parties. Specially this cause people to run solo more and stay away from playing with others.
Why not just make it a healthy design and give each player their own reward from the map. It can still be the same gameplay and the same map device system etc. just each person get his own loot on his screen instead of showing a crazy amount of loot that harm cpu and performance. Why stick with the bad design even when creating a new game ?? Like we already know how terrible this is made in POE1 so why repeat it in POE2? |
