GGG You forgot Games are supposed to be fun

I have fun - poe2 is currently too easy and too fast.

we need to wait for act 5 act 6 and more endgame content + more classes and gems/support gems + more new uniques + new weapon types.
Everyone posting in this thread I just want you to know GGG is not listening. Poe1 has the same problem as Poe2, they turned what should be a fun game to run around and kill stuff and get loot, into a full time job. Hence why I quit the season once they refused to hold the exploiters (cheaters) and streamers that promoted the exploits accountable for their actions.

0 accountability at GGG, 0 GGG employee has a single character lvl 90 or higher, 0 cares about exploiters cheaters bots RMT users etc.

GGG only cares about your money hence why they will never get a dime again from me until they turn the game back into a game and not a job.

Some people will have fun, certainly cool if you do. I am fine with the pace and difficulty. But no matter how many Skill Gems and Support Gems they add (100 or 200), as long as the skills are treated as individual parts of the game, its not going to be fun. The skill setup is the same as playing World of Warcraft. Skills only interact with each other in a limited way. Take the remnants for example. Each remnant type is individual. I do not get to choose. I cannot say for example, I want Arc Lightning to inflict burn, ignite or increase magnitude. It only works with lightning remnants. So in my fire build, can I get lightning remnants to have Arc as a low health execute? Nope...because GGG says I need to cast Lightning Orb or whatever to get lightning remnants. I can't just get a remnant to empower my skills. GGG has very limited defined interactions. And for those who say its too complicated, last epoch seems to do it just fine. Many of the skills have multiple elements. GGG could have done so much more with Magic skills and skills in general.

And I agree. I don't believe any of us are important enough for GGG to listen to. But, its nice to get thoughts down anyway. Supports my previous point, GGG is more concerned with the ideas of their hardcore players and streamers. The game is a love letter to them rather than a fun game for us. Oh well, maybe 2027 will have something good for me (in terms of games). Ashes of Creation is a complete fail, and I don't have access to my flight sim stuff for star citizen (I know people hate that game but for me, flying around in a spaceship with real controls is something special).

There's no endgame yet. If you're leveling past 90 and complaining about the game not being fun, you're boring yourself. Only play the late endgame if you enjoy it.

They've added too many pain and suffering into the game with little reward experience.

A lvl 20 uncut skill gem at 2 divs and a lvl 20 uncut spirit gem at 20 divs

This has been my biggest issue with the new skill system since EA release. It is fine that you got rid of skill links and force perfect jewelers. Those actually drop at a reasonable rate.

However, the drop rate of lvl20 gems is untenable. By the time you hit 90+ you are so ready for a reason to keep playing. I will look over the fact that level 6 awakened gems have a lower level requirement (82) in PoE1 than the base skill gems in PoE2 (90).

I really hope that the SoonTM 0.5 endgame solves some of this. You need a t15 + mods to achieve base area level 80 which is the requirement for lvl20s to drop. T16 base waystones have a higher chance. That seems fine on paper, except the rate of t16s from corrupting t15s is extremely low. So you create a supply shortages after a few weeks in the league because you have this antiquated system.

A simple system to give permanent +1/+2 area level OUTSIDE of irradiation tablets would improve the supply of these items significantly because you open the drop table on t14s.

It also unlocks a reasonable path to bringing harder endgame content into the game because you will have a higher percentage of players using lvl20+ skills so they pass the DPS check. This encourages players to play longer in a league.

Low drop rates promote RMT.
RMT attracts bots.
Bots boost player numbers on charts.
Good looking charts promote investment in the company.

Visionboy has a vision... its just that the vision is $$$

Isn't it always been like this? Chasing 100 million stupid orbs and omens, slam and pray, no?

Crafting is most abysmal thing in this game. Even Korean MMOs can laugh at this s*** No wonder everyone so lean on trade in this game. And everything come out of it. RMT, botting, duping, exploits....

Fun is discouraged, trying things is gated behind paying other people to get supplies.

I think the game is designed around a fake day trading job first and ARPG second. And it shows.
I find the players with these complaints are always similar: the kind who don't really play the game at it's face value - which is a somewhat challenging puzzle that's supposed to be figured out and overcome as you discover new elements and potential solutions through experimentation and practice.

They are mostly playing a derivative made-up game that resembles something closer to a pvp economy-simulator, and this is significantly enabled by the fact that they have access to the puzzle-solutions which are being provided by the people who ARE (mostly) playing the game at it's face value.

As most challenging things go, if you're circumventing the challenges by following a guide's solutions, and then your solutions no longer work as well - it just feels annoying and as if you're being punished with now having to overcome a seemingly unnecessary roadblock: unfun.

So players who don't enjoy the recreational problem solving aspect of this game and who also advocate for less of it are actually undermining the foundational element that allows them to enjoy the game in the first place.

It's why GGG seems like they "aren't listening to the players". They just aren't listening to those players - because they shouldn't.

There are a lot of people who play this game who don't actually like the fundamental elements of the game - they really only like cosplaying as a god at a loot-casino, and everything in the way of that is "unfun".

This is why we still have poe1 lol.
