I will try to stay factual and calm.

This league finally did something right. It gave players a mechanic that was fun, engaging, and personal. Building the Temple took time, planning, and effort, especially during the Christmas and New Year holidays when many people invested entire weekends into it.

Yes, the loot was strong.
Yes, some people were printing currency.

But instead of tuning numbers or fixing abuse cases, the solution was simply to make the Temple nearly impossible to build.

Players who already finished their Temples keep farming them with only slightly reduced loot. Everyone else effectively lost access to the core league mechanic.

So the result is not balance. It is punishing late or casual players while rewarding early grinders.

What makes this worse is the irony. We were told that leagues would not be nerfed mid-league. Apparently that promise lasts only until players start enjoying themselves.

The Temple was not just profitable. It felt cozy. Something you built yourself, not just another map to rush through. For once, PoE offered something more than endless mapping, and it was removed in practice.

This is not about free loot.
It is about respect for player time.

Killing a league mechanic instead of adjusting it, especially during holidays, sends a very clear message.

And after this patch, there is simply no more trust in the developers.

Bad take. These patches have almost no effect on those that exploited Holten and are an enormous hinderance to those trying to build their temple now.

Those that took advantage of Holten have their temples built, they get less currency, sure, but they are built and stable and get the necessary locks and have the level 3 rooms. This means instead of getting 50-100 divs or more, they get 10-30 divs per run, while everyone else is stuck spending 200 or more hours trying to build theirs, if it is even possible just trying to keep up with the market.

This creates a currency gap where rich get richer, and casuals are stuck. This isn't difficult to comprehend.

they wont get it cause they never interactet withe the mech. so just shrug on this trolls :)

The fact you think people getting 10-30 divs per run is ok is the problem. i agree they didn't go far enough. should of wiped everyone's temple who used the exploit.
^

that woud be ok for me ( and i did spent a lot of time the last 4 days too build a snake)

but too say only holten "Exploiters" are getting punishd is not true

I rarely post on here, and I wasn't even a temple farmer, but now the league is just dead cause y'all pissed everyone off and now you can't even sell anything. The people with money quit from this patch and all the points quit when they got fomo from not following their favorite Creator fast enough. Now the people who were just doing their own thing are basically playing ssf now cause there's no one left to buy stuff.

its just not tho is it. 110k players on steam.
its insane how clear none of you guys actually play and grind your own game. Crazy af
It wont change NOTHING about the temple building. Revert the lock nerf
I'm so upset and frustrated with what you've done. I was having so much fun, the most fun I've ever had in poe1 or 2. It's not even about the currency. My temple was only 30% complete. I'm lost for words. I cant see you guys recovering from this decision. You have royally fucked up here.
This is what happens when the lead of the game "only plays the campaign". If there were actual server issues - im not denying it, its a lot to keep 70+ rooms of massive loot piles in memory, why not reset everyones temple, make the whole temple grid smaller, so we cant build up 70+ rooms, but lets say, 40 or 50 max. Tone down the effective %. No - lets prevent people from building the temple with the t3 lock change, lets not buff the +1 upgrade medallion drop rates(they are seriously the most rare medallions, didnt see one for 2 or 3 days of running temples). 90% of decisions and balance changes lately look like they were made by people who just joined the dev team/dont play the game. Bizzare.
If you are not going to reverse the need of a tier 3 room to use a lock, then just remove destabilizing/destabilized rooms all together. Give us the ability to remove any room except the Architect's Chamber, and Atziri's Chamber! So we have the freedom to truly build a temple without worrying. Do better ggg.....
GGG please don't go this direction... We're counting on you to make this game great. Don't push massive changes start of league without playtesting first...
