0.4.0c Hotfix 13
|
Before this hotfix was released, players had been taking advantage of this season’s league to strengthen their characters to match the progression of building the Temple. But after the hotfix, the Temple has become far too easy—monsters die extremely quickly and the rewards have been reduced accordingly. This is truly one of the worst patches ever. Just look at the replies—what have you done? This is the hotfix with the highest number of replies ever. Instead of enriching build diversity and the difficulty of the seasonal league, you have completely destroyed it, introducing content that cannot be conquered, and even if it is conquered, the effort put in is simply not worth it.

Good!
Next up: sanctions. A thriving community cannot be built around the sentiment “abuse early and often.” Players need to fear losing their accounts for exploiting bugs like Holten or the temple re-entry that allowed access to a map when they no longer had a portal for it in their hideout. These are not intentional mechanics; players should recognize that, and consequences for abusing them must follow. The authority to punish lies with GGG. Presenting exploits as content—and thus profiting from them through real-money earnings while killing the league—should be considered an even greater offense. Remember: this behavior hurts your sales numbers and real-life earnings and profits at GGG. Mid-term —before the next league— please crush and rework rarity in PoE 2, especially in the context of currency drops. Thank you. |

I love this game and I think it has alot of potential but this patch is unheared of, people clearly don't play the game, I am slow and I manage to build good 40 rooms in 80 hours of pure temple building, if u really played the game you would realize how hard u made the average player to build the temple, loot should be nerfed but u should have buffed temple progression and not nerfing it, u could have done some crazy chains using locks/sacrfice which made this temple intersting and fun and progressive like i would try to make 1 room for 2 days and i am fine with that being my progresion while i can choose the easy path and get more loots right now, progression is the most fun, without it its just dead brain. i don't see how temple is deserved to be called league mechanic now nothing to explore.
regarding performance, this is the the best performance i had in poe ever in my life so I wonder if what you saying is truely true, game was giga fine and smooth. I normally cant play endgame, cause performance and it was clean this time, I think build with 200 projectile is the only issue with performance, not temple you clearly clueless about the game your developing, start hire humans please, you have a gem in your hands. I just want Chris back.

so after some ppl have 1000 divines u punish the 90% instead of deleting THEIR divines which they gained by abusing the system? (holten) ..

time to quit until next league

Finally the game felt like it had some sort of progression. This seems to ruin some of our hard work, you could have fixed some of the many bugs instead.

After 1,800 hours in this extremely addictive game, I finally realized something: the developers don’t give a single ♥♥♥♥ about the people who are here.
What could I have done with that time? How many games could I have finished? How many fish could I have caught? How much could I have studied? How much money could I have made? Think about that before you install this and then do something better with your life than playing this game. Let me explain why. The campaign takes around 20 hours to complete. The first time, it’s great. If you buy this game, finish the campaign and just go play something else. In fact, I recommend waiting until they finish releasing the entire campaign. Wait for this game to launch, it’ll be free. Play the story, enjoy it — and then leave. If you want to play the “full” game, every time a new act comes out you’ll have to replay those same 20 hours just to get 4 hours of new content. If you play league after league, or if you want to make a new character with a different class, good luck — you’re playing those same 20 hours again. It’s always been like this. Since PoE has been PoE. And we accepted this endless race to the end: hours and hours of boring, repetitive gameplay through a story you’ve already completed, just to reach the so-called “endgame”, where the game should actually begin! Don't get me wrong, the acts are amazing, but in the 8th time you repeat it, you'll hate it too. Play it once and then quit. Go out. Go to the sunlight boy. Now, if you decide to go further, that’s when you realize the developers are laughing in your face. You need to collect a ton of items in this game. The stash you get by default is absolute garbage. Impossible to organize anything. Completely awful. Wouldn’t it be nice if the developers made better stash tabs? They did. They’re there. You just have to pay for the ones that actually make the game playable. Oh, and to actually play the game, you also need to buy and sell items. There’s now an NPC that does this for you! A BRAND NEW FEATURE IN POE! REAL-TIME TRADE!! After 13 years, they innovated so hard that now you don’t need to keep the game open waiting to trade with another player. Incredible. Revolutionary. Truly groundbreaking. Except there’s a catch: you have to pay to be able to sell your items through the NPC. Alright. So you pay for stash tabs, you pay for trade, and now you can finally play the game. A new league starts. Another 25 hours of campaign and you reach the endgame. Now get ready: either you treat this like a 24/7 job, or GGG will completely ♥♥♥♥ you for not turning yourself into a literal NPC inside Path of Exile 2 — one that doesn’t sleep and doesn’t have a life. Here’s how it works. The new league has a temple. If you spend about 3 hours learning how it works, around 50 hours playing inside it (and another 200 hours outside of it), you’ll get the best drops in the game every single time you run it. If you don’t do it, you starve — because the people who ate the game content 24/7 already have their temples ready. So you start building yours. You learn a whole new game inside the game. You spend 20 hours setting it up so you can finally play the league and enjoy it. And then the developers release a patch that preserves the progress of those who already finished and makes it almost impossible for anyone else to catch up. In short: Playing 1,800 hours of any game is already unhealthy and completely abnormal — but for GGG, that’s still not enough. They want every minute of your life. If you’re not someone who doesn’t sleep, doesn’t eat, and does nothing but play, you’re not enough. They will punish YOU and reward only the people who literally live inside the game. I'm here since 0.1 and could see you were solving some things i agreed. But now you've made me watch 50 hours of preparing this Temple to see it melting on my face. Unforgiveble. 263 pages on a hotfix thread is pretty funny ngl
unfortunately i think this change came 2 weeks too late |

I was having fun for probably the first time, even if I only had a small portion of my temple done. Was eager to log in again and get upgrades as the temple was getting pretty hard. I was seriously thinking of dropping a supporter pack after a hiatus, that's how much fun I was having.
I guess I'm done with the league now. Mapping is everything but fun, I only did it to farm crystals for the temple. GG |
