Mass Ban people who exploit currency so bad it trashes the economy.

What's the exploit

There is no exploit.

The reward scaling is tuned wrong and you can progress the league mechanic quicker by resetting a zone during the campaign where the league mechanic spawns close to the waypoint.
It's basically affliction league with 1-2 extra steps.

As is tradition, there are a bunch of bad players whining in the wrong forum section again.

divines double in price because exalts have no sink.

I do think they should fix the temple, but they should fix the whole thing frankly may as well leave the cheese version in for now then just overhaul the whole thing to not be as meh as it is now (when it could be great guys come on).

The other part happens every league OP farm something with value and it'll be worth more like everything that you are trying to buy is.

I guessed that's what they're talking about but didn't want to say it in case I missed some breaking news. Campaign resetting has been a thing for so long in PoE1 and even back in D2, that's hardly an "exploit"

Likely GGG is gonna nerf it but I hardly see an issue with it
The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.
Being priced out of trade is basically why I stopped playing the league. Had to take a break since I'm a real person with a job and a life and all that and when I came back everything was inflated like crazy so I just logged off and that was that basically.

lol this is an absolutely wild take. The exploit is taking advantage of scaling clearly not intended to be there.

If I found out in counterstrike if I spin around 6 times and right click I get wallhacks for the entire map. I am exploiting a mechanic not meant to be there and getting an advantage. But in your world I guess I am just playing the game as intended because you're supposed to be able to spin around in counterstrike, right?

This is not meant to be in the game, doesn't even make sense to be in the game, and everyone with two brain cells to rub together knows it, fubgun included.

It's an exploit, plain and simple.

You're the one with a wild take. Your example doesn't match.
A wallhack is not something that you normally have in the game, and would indeed be a clear bug.
There is nothing like that in this PoE situation.
For this to be the same case, you would need to have things like being able to prevent any room deletion, picking the exact room you want at all time, or multiply the rewards with no cost.

The full setup they use doesn't involve any bug, it's all done with the correct mechanic. It's also not free, it requires quite a bit of work to setup correctly.

It's a bit of a shame because this is something that should be known by GGG. We've seen it multiple times in PoE1 (quarry reset has been famous over multiple leagues), as well in PoE2 already (currency beetle hello).
Maps being so long in PoE2, makes it soooo much worse when the campaign resets are so quick though.

No, because your example would include an actual bug. Wrong loot tuning isn't a bugged mechanic because even if the loot is very high, we as players don't ever know what the intended numbers are. Sure, we can guess but that becomes silly really quickly.

I brought the example with affliction league, a league from PoE1 that had more relative loot scaling than the temple has. It ended up being fully intended.

Have you completed a temple like almost everyone playing PoE2? In that case you've taken advantage of the temple tuning as well and now it becomes a matter of where you draw the line.

Help me understand here, as a player not playing PoE2: What part of the loot scaling isn't "intended"?
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

The part that isn't intended is you are required to have a low level character in campaign. People are now selling runs via their alts so that you can run with a temple set up by a low level person. You cannot take 2 end game characters and do this.

AKA EXPLOITING a mechanic not meant to be there. There is no world where it is intended for an end game character to party with a low level one in campaign to obtain high value end game rewards. Especially at a rate that far surpasses what they could do at the end game.

The 2 people above are trying to breeze past this and pretend like it has to be an actual bug in the code to be an exploit.

It has nothing to do with early access. The same happens in poe1 too. Exploit early = win every time. 0 consequences has made it widespread even among the streamers. Every new league is the same and every time the economy is left in shambles.

GGG has done nothing to enforce the rules. The one slight wrist slap on a certain streamer's wrist died down to nothingness and now the only focus every league is to get ahead with exploits then when it gets too popular they shut the door by earning views on youtube forcing GGG to patch it. Repeat endlessly

lol what a hilarious comment. It's always someone doing something "illegal"....it's never just someone being BETTER THAN YOU. You know why they don't get punished? Because they AREN'T breaking any rules. The people that you claim "exploit early" are merely doing the math and figuring out the patterns based on the information given BY GGG, in order to push loot to the max.

It's 100% GGG's fault if there is a way to make exponentially more currency one way than another. It's the players expertise that catches this and rewards them. Like every one of us playing the game: we seek the best loot. They just do it better and faster.

This is all besides the point that such players are also more often than not the entire driving force behind the economy allowing YOU to purchase cheaper and better items, sooner. They are the ones crafting the mirror and failed-mirror items that YOU eventually pick up on the cheap. They are the ones finding and handing out all the lower tier uniques. They are the ones finding thousands of scarabs and releasing them.

But sure, ban everyone that makes a certain amount of divines before two weeks of the league start. Just for fun. Let's see what kind of game and market we get....
Starting anew....with PoE 2
