Will GGG cave and listen to those who want PoE 2 to be a PoE 1 reskin again?

What most of the "anti zoom" people seem to want that or a top down dark souls. Funny enough, if that happens, the game is not POE anymore. That is the problem.

Perfect world which most people seem to enjoy is blasting maps but when its boss time, it is more engaging. Needs way less one shots, but also not being one shot at the same time.

Problem with this is... The math and balancing needed is impossible to achieve. Right now you either one shot or do no damage. Defense outside massive ES stacking with recoup is basically useless.

Until player damage from all skills/builds is at least on the same planet, mob damage will never be able to be balanced. Jacking up mob HP 40% to make up for 40% less is only going to push glass cannon more IMO. I would be curious if this exact same patch was launched without druid, would build diversity be the same? Better? Worse?

Agree on the critics but I think the solution is achievable.

You need different ways to scale damage, that's it. Right now you got the tree and your weapon in most cases. Until you can do the final update in terms of rare and unique jeweils you mastered the content anyway. Just the 2-3d weapon and the tree should barely be enough to do T1 bosses but nothing higher than that.
Now to the more problematic part of scaling which is enabling it without making it too much PoE1. I can think of more build enabling uniques or enchants that generate charges with a downside (f.e. generate a power charge on spending x mana, 10÷ less area of effect per power charge). You might also add things to the tree that benefit from using different skills - anything with more damage for each skill used recently. Stuff like that, no need to find perfect balance as long as you feel progression. It's their job to find better solutions and I am sure they will do if they really want to. Just stop wanting to satisfy all by simplifying and in the end satisfy no one.
Both examples I provided will be unattractive early but can scale to the moon later on.
