Here to update on if this will get changed or not?
after seeing many other class options move and attack pretty fast I havea bigger need to have this brought in line with the capabilities of many of these faster attack builds that do not have to give up their weapon to achieve this level. you would think that not swinging around a weapon would make your attacks faster but wielding a fast attacking staff at 1.9 or even 2.1 out shines hallowed palm builds in form of attack speed while also getting 40%+ more damage as a base and other mods to boot. MORE MATH 1.6 a/sec , with 4000 (around lvl 90 gear) item evasion give 53% more a/sec this is a 2.4 a/sec , sure this is faster but you are loosing damage as its 200-300 phys for a lvl 20 gem (this is for being lvl 90) DPS 600 where as a god rolled staff can give 1.75 a/sec , 380-650 phys , requires 77 lvl, gives +flat crit and +7 levels to gems DPS 901 as you can see with this comparison there is a 50% more damage from the staff pre nerf this would be 4.16 a/sec making the dps a 1040 and we still dont get the gem levels as those add 10% more damage per level on average as this would take the 901 staff to 1755 this nerf was not deserved please revert. |

They nerfed AS in general. Probably, numbers on endgame gear/build were too high to their liking. As for Halowed Palm nerf, even if the numbers did drop significantly, you can still do crazy number - enough to clear all content at least - so I'm a bit confused about all those doombringer talks. And that, without considering potential new unique introduced in 0.4 that could bring even more damage.
I'm more worried about Walker of the Wild being removed. It was a huge QoL for most Elemental Attack Build. |

" the walker keystone being taken out is also an issue as it disabled the elemental attack sustain for builds now requiring 5 times higher damage just to sustain the same cost. I wont go in to the potential section as that is not known data. but this is what we have so far so unless some fantastical support happens this will be dead by maps. Thus forcing people to swap off this fantasy for playing an evasion focused build with some parts even being energy shield for Hallowed Palm to get some added value. Even then the energy shield part of the Hallowed Palm has more damage and is not being nerfed so there is still that, however the loss of evasion only builds and high evasion setups takes a 50%+ loss in damage compaired to other setups. bringing evasion builds even lower on viability. https://youtu.be/Sm8Sqarzjkg?t=156 (at time stamp) to quote ZiggyD quoting Mark "you know it should work that way because it's fun and cool" Why dont more things in the game get nice things because they are fun or cool and Hallowed Palm evasion builds are clearly not fun or cool any more. just waiting on a GGG post to tell me what is actually going on and why this change was made. because this change to Hallowed Palm is not fun or cool.
