PoE 2 servers are restarting now. They should be back up in approximately .

4 months cycle development is not working

Clearly after playing 3.27, which was rushed, underdeveloped, and incredibly poorly balanced, what is a juggernaut int stacker, come on?!

Now reading 0.4 patchnotes, it all shows that 4 months development cycle is not working, in reality 2 months for poe 1 and 2 months for poe 2, there are not enough significant changes to play either of those.

i would prefer a 6 month dev cycle, with no ladder resets, but with added mid season micro transactions for people playing through the whole season. so that there is no revenue hit, but the seasons last longer and new patches are better.
I seriously wouldn't mind a 3 month cycle between PoE and PoE2. It would be sad for people who only play one or the other, but if u're trying to play both, 2 months is pretty stressful.

On top of that, 3.27 was really under baked and 0.4 seems to go the same route. I'd rather have to wait a little longer for a banger league than never getting one again.

Same. I would rather have a really good league to player every 3 months than the current schedule.
First you have to do something about the obvious resources tunneling that they are doing to 1 game while leaving the other constantly on maintenance mode then you can actually discuss how many months would somewhat work better

What's the point in having X months cycles when the resources are 99% for one game and scraps/rotten leftovers for the game that made possible for them to have another game to begin with
"Parade your victories, hide your defeats. Mortals are so insecure."

Poe 0.2/10

Returning to poe in 3.27: ATROCIOUS game performance, 5/10 league and I apprently missed the loot back in the last league. The more things change the more they stay the same..
yes, I think 6 months development cycle would be better for both games, but also having more qualified game devs in persistent teams working with each game without jumping from poe 1 to poe 2 and vice versa would be a lot better.

Undercooked leagues are hurting playerbase/future of the game much more than anything.

That's not a bad shout.

Anyone only interested in one of the PoEs could always just rotate between it and a non-GGG game instead. I wouldn't mind an opportunity to check out the next Grim Dawn expansion...

I'm sure Cachy's cool 'n' all, but for a moment there, Solus really was the perfect Linux UX imo.

Well I wouldn't really know :)

I switched to Linux in March or something this year, mainly because of the end of life for Win10, but also because I was curious.

I tried Mint and Nobara, but had issues here and there with both of them and so I was looking for another distro people liked and thats how I landed on Cachy. (also performance charts were pretty good)

I'm on Cachy for a few months now and couldn't be more happy.

Anyway, enough OT :D

The problem is that they are not just making a league for PoE2, it's a league, new acts, new bosses, balance passes new characters and skills where as PoE1 is just getting a league (which is likely partial recycled assets from PoE2) and a lot of numerical changes.
I'd guess that once they have launched PoE2 properly it would mean a lot less work on it (stuff that could be 6 months or a year in the making instead of a few months)

Wow, I was hoping that people would be wanting the old cycle of 3 months in Path of Exile 1 since 4 months is a bit too long for me. But I understand why GGG went the extra month. Another 2 months? Crazy talk.
