If GGG can implement an auction option for item that not sure of the price would be so nice for misprice, like you set the price and buyer choose the bid then a time countdown is set until no new bid confirmed.

Absolutely not. Diablo 3 had that and it was a total disaster, in particular because it was a real money shop. I myself made quite some money with it, because I could just get a friend to outbid the highest bidder, driving up the price until we reached a threshold where we were sure that they wouldn't go higher. Never ever should GGG add an auction house. That'd literally kill trade for everyone.

Edit: Point being, you can also do this completely solo with a second account and second PC. Now, imagine how many botters are already out there.

The Diablo 3 auction house had a major exploitable flaw - caused by their own frequent "realm down" crashes. If an item only had a few hours left, and you knew the realm was going down, you could make a slightly higher bid, wait for the crash and then when the realm came back up, the timer had expired and you had won the item.

GGG's uptime is much better, so less likely for that happening. They could use some sort of semi auction, where an item that goes up for sale has a grace period to make sure it is available for those watching (5 minutes?) before a bid on it could be made. The seller could pre-select to accept first bid, or a cap price, or an open cap, but always with a brief auction over period (again, say 5 minutes).

This would not stop all bot buying, but would hinder them.

I thought I would be more bothered by this before async was implemented, but honestly? It's really been a non-issue.

You were realistically never going to be able to snipe valuable misspriced items in the past because no sane person would ever sell if they got flooded with 100 whispers for something that should be worth a lot more.

Async is no different; what's the point in whining that you have no chance to compete over a misspriced mageblood or other T0 item when that's always been the case in the past?

Just buy at market value and make profit off of niches instead of the misfortune of others, you'll do just fine I promise :')

I've bought a ton of the lowest priced bulk stuff available like ancient wombgifts and maps this league and never noticed someone so fast that I didn't at least get to the trade window to see everything disappearing. Usually I was able to get a fair chunk of what I wanted to buy. What's getting insta-sniped so hard?

Because bots don't bother with low price items anymore. Most of them are sniping valdo maps / inscribed ultimatums where you can get 1d+ per trade.
Ok hear me out, this is a feasible solution for bots. Beside instant buy, give us an auction option where you set the price and timer for the latest bid to end. So any bots want to snipe items that you are not sure of price or mistakenly misprice it have to compete with each others.
Exploit early exploit often bozos.
I would go in denial and prefer to say it's not a big deal after all, it doesn't affect my gameplay or even better: bots are swift and make things easier for the econony. :)
