Map boss fight is not fun!

You cannot evade boss slams, why are you listing your evade and deflect chance when those are mapping survivability mechanics?

You're supposed to avoid them - that's why you have most of the movement speed passives on that side of the tree. If you want to facetank telegraphed slams then evasion based characters are not for you. Get better or build something with a bigger health pool. |

you guys there is a dodge button. use the dodge button. move out of the way of the slams. you're not supposed to get hit by them. getting hit by them is not good. you will probably die or at least come very close to dying and if you are getting hit by other things first you will definitely die. stop getting hit. use the dodge button.

" Ya, I listed it down because I don't know that evasion/deflect is not working on boss. Thanks for telling me. Of course, I tried run and dodge from the boss attack, Its just that the multiple grenade explosion effect make it very hard to see , and in most case when I see it's already late. it's ok, I will need to get better on DPS to minimise the irritating one shot scenario. |

" Whats your ES or life? pretty much whats important to avoid oneshots. But understand ur frustration as a hybrid A/E. But I have 4.5k life, helps most times, but still happens I get oneshots from bosses, and no, not from slams. |

In the heat of the fight, can not always see and remember each Boss what need to avoid. Need to check skill states, have enough point in a skill combo or stack and so on. Some builds have skill effects that will cover Boss hand that could warn us. There is not always evident what the Boss will do.

Died many times (with 6K ES) from one-shot from Bosses. |

Just put boss atlas to 0 and sneeze at them. They drop nothing anyway.

" Evasion does work on bosses. But it does not work on boss attacks when the bosses glow red. If you see that glow, or hear the noise that goes with it, then you need to dodge. SSF Rise of the Abyssal Ice Strike Invoker, high survivability and fast clear speed. Deprioritize armor and resistances; prioritize crafting a weapon and faster start of ES recharge. Build is shown at level 47, end of Act 3. It tore through Act 3 like butter.

" My HP 1626 and ES 40, a companion to tank 10% damage, and also a passive node 10% mana before life. I still have a long way to go compare to yours. Before the patch, I just concentrate on level up and will always skip map boss, but now I stucked at lv96 <1% for few days. lol Last edited by Shidabenke#5514 on Oct 14, 2025, 6:24:49 AM

The problem is design philosophy. It is impossible to make so many things in this game work because of it.

No matter what is suggested, nothing will change because of it. If the mentality is to trip up, hinder, or gotcha the player, nothing works. There is. A clear difference and I’ll give you an example. Melania is a challenge. Once you get her down, you have a sense of accomplishment that you’ve overcome the challenge. Consort Redahn is the exact opposite. He isn’t meant to be a fun challenge, he’s a fun runner. When I lose to Mel, I don’t get knocked back to Margit after hardly seeing one move. There is evidence of this all over the game. Maybe try to make the game fun instead of the middle finger. Until then, unknown one shots will never go away no matter what you do. |
