I don't want to run maps with no respawns.

My recoup Chronomancer can AFK in the middle of a map for an infinite amount of time, but then I walk around and if I run into a specific Abyss boss or something I can be insta-one shot out of nowhere, with no ability to ever know what did it, with all the ground effects, delirium fog, spell effects, etc. covering the entire screen.

1 Portal is miserable because there's things that kill you that you literally can't predict or prevent.

yeah but that kind of thing doesn't happen very often. this seems like a pretty minor problem in the grand scheme of things.
My main issue with limiting respawns is the waste of time that it forces onto us: we now have to redo the node.

Just let us pass through failed nodes as if it is completed and it would feel a lot better.
> meaningful combat

Meaningful combat is just the way GGG markets slightly harder poe style combat. It's just a gimmick. The game is still the same slot machine POE1 is and every change the devs have made so far seems to be moving it more in that direction.

If you don't want to map with no respawns, don't. You don't need to do it. It just mean you'll be pulling the crank on the slot machine more than people who do. Are you trying to have fum playing the game or win a race to see who can win the jackpot first (remember this game's "skill" is almost entirely determined by luck). Don't get sucked in to the trap.

Don't worry about dying. It doesn't actually matter. The way to solve almost every issues in this game is just grinding and gear. Grind enough currency to buy the gear you need. The only real agency you have is the passive tree and you'll have enough points by 80.

If you're confused about anything, goto poe ninja, look at hc ssf characters using the skill you want to use, do what they are doing.

Yeah but it does. In fact, if I loose a map it's always because of a random 1shot and it's always the same reaction: "wht just happened?".

The thing that oneshots you just isn't visible due to deli fog and god knows whatever else is happening on the screen. The very fact you are left guessing about what is was + the loss of the map + the xp loss + the tablet charge loss + having to redo the node is a very horrible horrible gaming "experience".

This should not exist.

+1 couldnt have said it better myself
SSF

The tablets should have a drastic effect on map difficulty. You should be able to always add three, you just may regret it. More content more problems, lol.

Map is your base, then the tablets mod and stack in some manner. Maybe, you know, like actually scale the mob level up or something so that the game scales past 90.

Also, you should get more respawn for more difficult/invested content. Obviously.

Its always been backwards.
