REMOVE DEATH EXP PENALTY !!!

I don’t think people hate the idea of exp loss on death but mostly loath the process of regaining the amount that was loss in high lvl (90+ probably), so dev should add a feature like a mini quest such as you need to complete # of maps to regain the lost exp, so you can tune down the difficulty of your choice while wasting less time to regain the exp.

Legitimately like the idea of a souls-like "recovery" mechanic that lets you regain lost XP by completing some post-death trial.

Maybe something like an "Aura of Redemption" that lasts for a period of time after death and gives map bosses a % chance on death to redeem you with a chunk of your lost XP.

Wouldn't like it to be guaranteed nor 100% recovery of everything that was lost, but I could definitely get behind the ability to recovery a chunk on top of Amelioration. Like maybe another 15% so that Amelioration + Redemption together would be a 90% loss prevention.

I think you should generally gain a buff against the XP loss for clearing maps so that if you die once in a while there's no loss at all, only if you die a couple of times in a row it gets really painful.
People should lose 1 divine per death instead.

Yeah, no shit. But you know damn well that from a certain level on, this is a reaaaaally long way to go, so granting players who only occasionally die a natural buff against XP loss doesn't seem like an unreasonable request.
