You cant compare the 2 Hardcore will always have a different exchange rate even if we remove the bots. Your argument is not good. People play hardcore very different from softcore which will naturally result in less currency drops.

Yes Bots do play a role, but not to the degree you are suggesting here.

This is the ultimate reality we'll never see fixed.

While their main MTX product are stashes. Trade will be forever cursed by bots and RMT cartels.


Meanwhile they refuse to ajust anything for SSF, because... well... Stashes are their main MTX product


It all comes down to the same source of the issue.


Now with the new ''offline shop'' stash. bots are more incentivized than ever.
They can spread the farms into dozens of seller accounts per machine. making it even harder to identify and ban because... Stashes are their main MTX product...


SC Trade is doomed.

I would settle for it still effecting currency but not LEAGUE currency. As it is league stuff that we are farming specifically.
or rarity is removed, or it placed in preffixes only. Especially on weapons. Or you fight with dps, or with rarity.

There is always strong meta builds and weak off meta builds(in 99% of times) and if you consider yourself as "competitive player" you dont really have a choice what to play, you must play strongest possible build to show best result. Nerfing rarity will just remove fun from the game and nothing will change globally.


WRONG, "build diversity" is when there is not just a few builds that are so powerful that everything else is absolute garbage by comparison - in PoE 2 not having item rarity is absolute garbage.

In PoE 1 item rarity exists but only effects uniques. People get to play whatever build they like without needing item rarity to actually make more than 2 divs per hour. This does not kill item rarity builds either, as there are still setups to max item rarity to print magebloods.

The fact that item rarity is not needed in poe1 does not even change the fact that certain builds are more optimal for farming certain things, it actually makes the builds even MORE different from each other, the best legion farmers are very different from delve farmers are very different from ultimatum farmers are very different from bossers - but in PoE 2 the best farmer for everything is just a high dps build with lots of item rarity.

This has been my experience 100%. My ES/CI lightning sorceress can stack Rarity and still clear three screens ahead (I'm not even trying to; why does Arc chain so far if they want meaningful combat?), while my freeze crossbow mercenary needs all the survivability mods he can get. I have way more fun on my merc and he can destroy lvl 81 zones pretty easily, but on top of taking longer to do it he drops fewer divs due to having less Rarity, so the game is nudging me not to play him.

If Rarity didn't affect currency, they could balance drop rates across the board and there would be one less barrier to people playing off-meta builds they enjoy.
If rarity gets nerfed. I will always run the most OP build. easy as that. Why make my own when i can run a map that clears in 36 seconds if rarity of items on kill dont matter. It wont be just me doing it. So make the price of your toon x10 more.

Rarity on kill isnt anything new but all the cry baby streamers QQ'ing about Thus making you guys repet. While they run 6 main groups getting extra RARTIY AND QUANT. Yet nothing about that huh.

it all of the sudden right after towers removed? what we doing here. Making POE2 into POE1? If you like POE so much go play POE. Zoom around and grab all the loot. POE2 isnt POE1. get over it.

or hey. Speed run POE2 into POE1 and have the same issues POE1 had. lower player count. Hurts to say but its true. You can read how streamers and no lifers killed POE1 and hurt new players coming in.

You already nerfed quant by removing towers for POE1 slop. Still not conetent so its off to the next thing to make POE1 on POE2. Full honestly I hope they make POE2 into POE1 so they make far less money.

Thats exactly the issue we face right now. The most op builds can stack the most rarity. Thats the whole issue.

Don't touch rarity, it's fine as it is

Nerf to the ground zoom zoom builds and we are fine

not true , and what if ggg block all the excess damage when you already have enough to do all content ? would that be fun too ?
